What an arrogent statement and even more arrogent post.

It's arrogant to postulate that some omniscient supposedly benevolent being exists and even more arrogant to assume that he takes an interest in the outcome of a football game and that he actually helped ensure one teams victory. Now that's arrogant.

This may be the dumbest thread I have ever seen posted here.

I'm just glad no Raiders fans were praying for the kick to miss.

Peace.

Al Davis would never allow the loss of control.

That kick was the one that began the Dynasty. I was still living in Boston at the time and I left the house that night in the middle of the 4th quarter to go to a local club. I remember driving through the snow and it took me forever to get to there because the roads were crap. I got there just as they started that drive and I sat at the bar downstairs watching as the club started filling up.

I will never forget that kick. It just disappeared into the night. I have a framed pic of the kick that Vinatieri made later on to win the game but I wish I could find a pic of that 45 yarder. That was the greatest kick in history and I will never forget that night. It was a fun time in my life and I never partied as hard as I did that night.

No more arrogant that postulating he doesn't.

Like DV said, I remember that kick vividly. What a moment.

Deep insight into the universe is not required, only reason, logic, and a modicum of intelligence.

All of which I have all over you in spades. Your point being?

All of which [intelligence]I have all over you in spades. Your point being?

I didn't recognize your fourth grade mentality early enough I guess, so better late than never here's my retort:

nuh uuhh, I'm way smarter than you are, you're stupid nah na na nah nahh. :horn:

Hopefully that panders to your latent need for childish posturing.

For my money, the 31-14 AFC championship victory over the Fish, in Miami, in Jan of '86 was the turning point for me. That victory was so sweet. It would be another 10 years until we returned to the superbowl but that was a great year for Patriot football that signaled the turn around of our fortunes, at least in my eyes. I lived off of that one victory for years.
