ok so they played 11 games in the season and alowed only 61 yards for the entire year... but some how at the same time they alowed 34 yards per game... Hows that work exactly?

And then thisquote from a 9 year old... "I learned that we could always be beat," said Matt McIntire, the team's running back. "There were teams that outplayed us, although we won. We just had one play here or there that turned the game."

First of all, I have never heard a 9 year old speak like this young lad who speaks just like a reporter... odd... and how do u get outplayed when u alow 34 yards a game and 0 points? I have the feeling that this is all a sham... there isnt even a team called the panthers in atlanta!

What did the coaching staff do to cull perfection from the team?

"Coaching each and every one of them to understand what football was all about," said head coach Corey Kendrix. "And setting, and meeting, goals."

Someone forward that article to the Jests HQ! A great HC for a bunch of 9 year olds may be just what they're looking for!

Why would they make this up? :rolleyes:

I can't say I'm impressed. I mean, the Pats would whoop them. :D

Seriously, it is great to see a coach instilling the right values in the kids and teaching them the fundamentals of Football.

Because it's impossible for a 9 year old to possess the level of intellegence this reporter has given them by the quotes in his article. Did you not read the previous poster's comments.

The quotes are fake...end of story. "And then this quote from a 9 year old" why not name the kid?

No 9 year old even understands these concepts never mind that the data listed is not supported by the quotes attributed to the 9 yr. old kids.

You have issues.

It's a shame that you didn't think to stick "Sawnee Mountain Panthers" into google. Might I suggest that you do so? It isn't difficult. Congrats to the Panthers.

Screw the Sawnee Mountain Panthers. The title of this thread is wrong, the Patriots would obliterate them. This smacks of the kind of propoganda put out by Shula. :eek:

11 games...
> Total yards gained: 2,445
> Average yards gained per game: 325

Must be that new math I keep hearing about because 2445 over 11 is about 220 per game and 325 a game prorates to 3570 for 11 games so the numbers don't add up FWIW....

This is too weird. What kind of obsessive maniac keeps full stats for a team of 9-year-olds, including quarterback rating and tackles for yardage lost? I'll bet that kid had a perfect QB rating and no interceptions because he never threw a pass.

I'm not so sure. I think their QB bursting into tears every time he was sacked would really confuse the Pats D. Oh, perhaps not; I just remembered Manning. :D

Why are we smack talking 9 year olds as if this article is actually a diss on the Pats or some how tarnishes the Pats records to date?

Guys grow up. Some of the comments on this thread completely vindicated every single negitive stereotype about New England fans being petty, obnoxious, arrogant and overall aS$holes.

Because we would kick their arses and we are 11-0.:mad:

Oh, yeah, erm, I see what you mean.... :bricks: I agree, btw. Some of the comments on here are pretty sad, although the majority are clearly tongue in cheek.

Because people are being sarcastic. No one thinks a team of 9 year olds being undefeated is tarnishing the Pats record. hahaha :D

Terms for you to learn:

* Humor

* Sarcasm

* Tongue-in-cheek

You obviously have never read the Atlanta Journal Constitution, their is always more fiction than truth in that paper.
