I didn't see this posted so here goes.

were the officials last night the same team that officiated the Pats Colts game? I thought the head ref was the same guy. If it was then that's two BIG games this crappy crew has officiated and if it is the same crew they almost blew the game for the Pats and might have blown it for the Packers with crap PI call in the 4th. does anyone know? At this rate they might be officiating the AFCC and the Superbowl!

The guy who officiated our game was a rookie. I didn't see the game last night so I don't know if it's the same guy, but rookie-led crews can't work the postseason in the NFL, so at least we're safe from them until next year.

It was the same crew and while he himself is not the problem I think a couple of his crew members are. One sees things that didn't happen and another doesn't see things right in front of him. They also had a couple of really bad spots again that really cost GB in what was a closer game than the score even indicated.

It was the same crew. They blow.

Why they have these dolts doing marquee games is beyond me. Couldn't Hochuli or Mike Carey's crew work the game last night and have these guys work the SF Carolina game instead? I mean these guys aren't competent enough to officiate any NFL game in my opinion, but at least mitigate the damage they can do when potentially home-field advantage in the playoffs is being decided.

With all the talk how Al Harris got hosed on that strip on TO on the Boys' first scoring drive. Yes, he did. HOWEVER-on GB's first drive of the game, an offsides on Ware was called that SHOULDN'T have(which lead to the Packers scoring a FG ultimately). Check it out-->

So if anything, both of those bad calls washed out.

I agree-officiating has gotten progressively worse in recent years.

Yeah it was a bad officated game all around

Is there any way to officially request that this crew does NOT work ANY playoff games involving the Pats?

not sure you can call the blown turnover and the blown offsides a "washout" but they where both bad calls....as well as the horrible "PI by popular vote" called late in the game. Those guys are a joke and they're effing up some big games. lucky for the NFL no one will notice it this time because most people couldn't watch the game ;)

To me, that looks like a great jump on the snap - not offsides.

Look at the orange line. Ware comes up, but not over the line, the instant the ball is snapped. He's reading cues off the head movement of the center - probably reading tendencies he saw on film. The ball is moving backwards as Ware's head is crossing the orange line. Looks like a great play to me.

How about that terrible spot that they gave to Grant on that 3rd down run - I believe in the 4th quarter. No doubt would've been challenged and reversed if GB had any left... Another stupid rule - losing a challenge when the officials screw up (the TO non-catch on the sideline).

I agree. That crew is bad. The worst part is when color guys like Colinsworth, who played the game, back the refs up on bad calls or avoid being critical.

As I already pointed out, the NFL does not assign rookie crews to playoff games, so there's no need to make any requests.

I was actually suprised last night that Collinsworth called them out (sorta) on the PI call and a couple of others....texted a friend who was watching the game that he was gonna get fired soon for doing that

I had to help a friend out so I couldn't finish the game. That makes sense because he was a wide receiver.

This refereeing crew is not ready for primetime as they say. Most of their games have involved teams with under .500 records The only they officiated two teams over .500 meeting Indy-NE and Dal-GB were their worst officiated games and those with the most blown calls and most penalties.
The Pats game had 14 penalties for 171 yds on both teams and GB-Dal had 19 penalties for 207 yds.
This from a crew that averaged 12.2 penalties for 92.3 yds for both teams in their ten other games.
Am I to believe that when the 4 teams with the best records in the league met, they committed twice as many penalty yardage as all the other teams in the other games officiated by this crew???

Interesting stats. I just don't know why the NFL, the Commish whoever that has the power over things like this allowed this rookie squad to ref the two biggest regular season games and both in the same season and after that ridiculous Pats Colts game?!! What?! If the NFL can have flex scheduling, why can't we have flex officiating? It's not a good job if the refs become that noticable during a game.

The guy who officiated our game was a rookie. I didn't see the game last night so I don't know if it's the same guy, but rookie-led crews can't work the postseason in the NFL, so at least we're safe from them until next year.

ha, theyll prob replace just the head ref and let the others stay...

it wasnt the rookie who threw all thsoe flags, it was the right sideling judge...who ohh btw was the one who called for that long PI call in the 4th Quarter

Yes the same LOSERS! They suck.

That guy was a rookie as a ref, but has been an NFL official
for about 12 years. So he is really not a rookie!!
