During the history of this MB, what team's fans have had the MOST TROLLS here?

Were there other persistent Fins' trolls like Aqua4ever, for example?

worst trolls are probably the Chargers fans.

Who have for the most part disappeared entirely.

I'd say Colts are the most persistent but this board doesn't get a lot of trolls from what I see. Each week an opponent fan shows up then never comes back after they lose. Even the Colts fans aren't here a lot but I know they read the board because if you say something about their team they come swarming. After them there are maybe one or two consistent posters from a few other teams.

As for Fins fans, why would they come here when their team is the only winless one in the league and we are the only undefeated? Aqua has just been here for a long time. He must like the abuse.

Definitely Chargers fans. I'm on record as to how pathetic I think they act.

They exist in a very insecure sports bubble, if you will. SD teams have, historically, set the benchmark for sucktitude. So, when a team has even a glimmer of hope, the hype machine in SD (which includes the fans, media and organizations) works itself into some sort of incestuous Mobius Strip of cornholery. The media starts it off with ludicrous proclamations such as: "This is the most talented team in the NFL" or "This is the best pitching staff in baseball", etc. Next, the teams all buy into the media hype and pass it along to the players who, in turn, become complete douchebags. This part can be confirmed by simply watching any Chargers postgame interview session. You'll see what I mean. Finally, the fans realize that the other two factors in this cluster#$@% are saying stuff and they ratchet it up another notch by proclaiming things like: "Phillip Rivers went to the Pro Bowl last year, so he's clearly in the conversation with Tom Brady and Manning" or "We've got 148 Pro Bowlers on our team... How about we just use that as a lame retort in any reasonable discourse taking place on other team's message boards! YAAAAAAY!".

There isn't another fan base I find more insufferable than SD fans.

From a Steelers fan standpoint, my most hated trolls are the Ravens trolls. Some of them aren't just your typical "your team sucks and were going to roll over your team giving no intelligent reason why I think this" guys. One of these Ravens trolls went so far as to personally target the female posters on my board, he would make vulgar sexual remarks towards them and just spout out senseless BS without even talking football what so ever.

Chargers fans. By far. Although it seems more and more Colts fans are making it their homes here which is annoying.

On a board full of almost nothing but the same 'laffo running up the score' jokes, midseason draft talk and 'the NFL is out to get us' paranoia this may be the first clever thing I've read here without having to post it myself.

Kudos.

That ain't cool. Sounds like your mods aren't doing their jobs.

I would agree with the worst trolls being Chargers fans but in my opinion the trolls who win the gold medal for stupidity are either Jets or Eagles fans.

I have a short memory but the Eagles fans were getting pretty annoying last week.

The She-gle fans were out of control before the 2004 superbowl - The probably knew they wouldn't be in another super bowl until 2024.

By far the best long time troll we've had over the years has to be Ryan the Colts fan. He's been all but adopted, protected from the newbies who don't know his history of well reasoned, insightful posts.
IMO the best pregame trolls have been the Panthers, even tho' that was a ways back, Bills come in a close 2nd for me.
The worst are the Chargers, they just seem to average out at age 12.

There USED to be lots of posts from JETS fans year after year.
They're pretty much gone now.
Gee, I wonder why?

Buster T Bronco right before the 2005 playoff game was the all time worst troll IMO.

yeah...heh...I remember Buster....that guy was a certified F-R-E-A-K

Chargers fans are the worst. Like someone said SD has never won ANYTHING so when the slightest chance comes up they don't know how to act. Just a couple of weeks ago after SD won a game or two the trolls were back thumping their chests, and saying ok play us now we want a rematch.

Nah, its just that it was Ravens week and as soon as we beat the Ravens ass, he was gone.

No offense, Steelersteve, 'cause you seem Ok so far, but the Steeler trolls (especially before the 2004 AFCC) were right up there with the worst. One guy kept repeat posting the recording of some local Steeler fan song called "Here We Go".

Finally, instead of letting it drive us nuts, we started critiquing the performance and laughing at it. The high school kids in the chorus of it DID sound like they were being held against their will! The song had one of the most droning, uninspiring and simply depressing melody lines in the history of music. It makes one want to give the performers amphetamines or something.

Unbeknownst to us, the troll poster was evidently the "producer" of this work of art. He subsequently become pissed off at the remarks about his "work" and blew a gasket big time. He never was even banned - - he just left in a huff.

God, I wish we could bring back that thread.

LOL no offense taken, I can understand it because I have seen some pretty annoying steeler trolls and they can be pretty bad. Personally though, I think every team has its trolls and they just give the normal decent fans a bad name. Every team may have its trolls, but I also think that every team has its decent, loyal fans.

To me, it's a toss up between the Botls Trolls and the Rats tolls.
It's kind of like having to chose between brain cancer and lung cancer, with my apologies to cancer.
I hate those fan bases. They are just awful!
