Hey, people can call me whatever they want. The same people waiting for these guys to emerge are the same crew that kept waiting for Bethel Johnson to emerge. These drafts are garbage.
maybe you just hit the nail on the head if there was garbage in the drafts how could we get good players, look at the whole body of work, free agents recent drafts, ther is none better than pioli go take a long walk and chill

"We are getting NOTHING out of either of these two drafts outside of a kicker and an AVERAGE running back. That is it"

I agree with you BUT if you love the Pats you can't complain or your a whinner.

And that's about it. No steals. No IMPACT PLAYERS. No nothing. The 1st rd picks have been ordinary and the rest have been garbage, outside of Gostowski. Terrible drafts. Bobby Grier-esque.

And yet we are 11-0, won the AFC East, headed into the playoffs with very few injuries and on pace to break numerous records.

Time for your meds.

Look at Mr. Pioli's superb drafts the last 2 years..........NOT!!! This guy is in a MAJOR SLUMP with our draft picks, my friends. It is Bobby Grier-esque!! We better keep trading draft picks away for the Randy Moss's and Wes Welker's of the world, because we will most likely draft STIFFS if we keep the picks!! You can make excuses all you want folks, but these last two drafts are HORRIBLE. Good thing we lost a #1 pick for spygate. Otherwise, we would just draft another guy that will make NO CONTRIBUTION whatsoever for the first 2 years of their career like Chad Jackson. Ugh!!

Wow! You spare no words in making yourself depressed. A troll? Maybe, since you seem to be on a roll right now with all your negative threads, and the team is 11-0. Good job, Chicken Little!

Send your resume to Krafty. I'm sure he could use a talent evaluator like you!

Maybe Chad Jackson isn't doing so well because there are 4 established veteran receivers in front of him. Just a thought. I wouldn't worry so much about Maroney either. I have a feeling that in the end he'll work out for you just fine.

It's "whiner," Carolinatony, and he's a troll. Check dum-dum's posts and you'll see.

Isn't it a little early to be judging all the 2006 and 2007 drafts, particularly the 2007. Some of these guys might be of real value their third or fourth year. Keep in mind knocking out a Pats starter is pretty hard these days.

And don't forget the 6th round pick in 2000 did jack for the team his first year and for the first couple of week his second year, but in the end he was a pretty good pick up (for a 6th rounder).

maybe you need to give these guy a bit more time before you make a final judgment.

The truth hurts. We are getting NOTHING out of either of these two drafts outside of a kicker and an AVERAGE running back. That is it. If that's ok with you guys, than MEDIOCRITY says hello in 2 years.

You have to include trades involving draft picks as well if you're looking at this realistically. From the 2007 draft they've traded a late 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 7th rounder for what realistically looks like a Top 5 pick in 2008, Wes Welker, and Randy Moss.

2006 NFL DRAFT
1 21 (21) Laurence Maroney, RB, Minnesota(DUD) Only imbeciles think Maroney is a dud.
2 4-d (36) Chad Jackson, WR, Florida(BUST) Takes 3 years man. Get a clue
3 22 (86) David Thomas, TE, Texas(STIFF) Again, takes 3 years. I didn't realize that a major injury like he has is grounds for calling him a stiff.
4 9-b (106) Garret Mills, TE, Tulsa(STIFF) Can't argue there.
4 21 (118) Stephen Gostkowski, K, Memphis(GOOD) More like Excellent.
5 3-c (136) Ryan O'Callaghan , OT, California(JAG) O'Callaghan is a great run blocker. Just not for this new offense
6 22-* (191) Jeremy Mincey, OL/DE, Florida(STIFF) Hmm.. he's only a stiff? Not a bum? When he didn't even make it out of camp because he assumed that he'd made the team and didn't try his best?
6 36-* (205) Dan Stevenson, OL, Notre Dame(STIFF)
6 37 (206) Le Kevin Smith, NT, Nebraska(STIFF) LeKevin Smith has proven to be good on special teams as a wedge breaker and in the times he's been on the field. Calling him a stiff is just dumb. OH wait.. I forgot who made the initial comments.
7 21 (209) Willie Andrews, CB/S, Baylor(JAG) Special team ACE.

2007 NFL DRAFT
1 24 (24) Brandon Meriweather S Miami (FL)(JURY OUT)
4 28 (127) Kareem Brown DT Miami (FL)(CUT) Soon to be re-signed by the Pats. Don't let that little fact hit you in the face.
5* 34 (171) Clint Oldenburg OL Colorado State University(JAG) Ashworth was a JAG that helped out tremendously during 2 SB runs.
6 6 (180) Justin Rogers DE Southern Methodist University(JAG) Excellent special teamer for the Cowboys. Pats wanted to keep him and develop him, but the Cowboys picked him up.
6 28 (202) Mike Richardson CB Notre Dame(IR) What? No comment on him? Why not call him a bum like you did Lua?
6* 34 (208) Justise Hairston RB Central Connecticut State(BUM) Got hurt and then cut. Not sure how that makes him a bum.
6* 35 (209) Corey Hilliard T Oklahoma State(BUM)
7 1 (211) Oscar Lua ILB USC(BUM) He'd earned a spot on this team before he got hurt. Not sure how you can call him a bum.. OH wait. I forgot. You don't actually need facts. You just talk out your arse.
7* 37 (247) Mike Elgin OL University of Iowa(BUM) Actually will probabaly become a very good center in time.

WOW. Its amazing that you aren't working in the NFL since your talent evaluation skills are so much superior to that of BB and Pioli.

What about the trades? You have to include them. The Pats picked up what is looking to be a top 10 pick for the 28th in this years draft. They also added Oakland's 3rd rounder (which should be in the top 10 of that round). Not to mention Randy Moss and Wes Welker.

You ask ANY Personnel person in the NFL and they'll tell you that your an idiot for judging drafts before 3 years have passed. They'll also tell you that you can't just look at the players drafted. And the over all talent level of the 2007 draft wasn't exactly mind-blowing. In fact, many people thought it was a relatively weak draft.

I'm a fan of your work TGIAGH, but this guy is a troll and the "substance" of his posts should be ignored, or he'll keep on keepin on.

Sorry

Could someone take a sec to explain what a JAG is? Besides Judge Advocate General?

See, its this kind of stupidity that proves you to be an idiot.

When Bethel wasn't doing anything after his 3rd year, I gave up on him. Why? Because I listen to the Pats coach and Personnel man when they say it takes 3 years to fully evaluate a draft.

i agree with you man... thank god for free agency and our veterans performaming at the highest level...
this is also the reason why we look very old and the greenbay packers look so young...

"We are getting NOTHING out of either of these two drafts outside of a kicker and an AVERAGE running back. That is it"

I agree with you BUT if you love the Pats you can't complain or your a whinner.

I didn't realize that AVERAGE RBs got 4.4 YPC. I didn't realize that getting a kicker who is in the tops of the league in TBs, YPR, and opposition starting field position was a bad thing.

You know I miss the days of trolls that had pride in the team they rooted for instead of coming to our boards and pretending to be Pats fans.

Hmm.. maybe the Packers look so young because they've been BAD the last 2 years and have been picking in the top part of the draft? NAHHH.. That couldn't be it at all, could it?

OH, btw, How did the Packers get Charles Woodsen and Al Harris? Or Ryan Pickett?

BTW, the Pats don't look very old except at ILB when Seau and Bruschi are on the field at the same time.

Beyond that, they look fine.

Why do people take this troll's posts seriously?
