Hate to start a new MVP thread, but

Brady has my vote(homer alert!) for what he's done his whole career. Favre's noname WRs are way better than Brady's from seasons past.

If, and only if, Favre goes into Dallas and has a lights out performance will I give him any serious consideration for MVP. If he goes out and wins the game, throws for 4 TDs, and passes for over 300 yards, than I think you can put him in the discussion to possibly win it over Brady. If he does not win the game and play like a superstar, than I think we can start engraving Brady's name on it. Tony Romo, no matter what he does, has no shot at getting it over Brady because Brady clearly outplayed Romo in their big showdown.

Hopefully, we will never have to find out, but I believe Brady is as crucial to this team as Favre. Seriously, where would we be without him? Moss wouldn't be here and we'd probably be fighting it out with Buffalo for the AFC East. I'll give credit where credit is due, and Brady has a whole bunch coming his way that is LOOOONG overdue!!

If Brady "breaks" a shoulder tomorrow, the Patriots are still one of the top 3-6 teams in the league. If Favre "breaks" a shoulder tomorrow, Green Bay becomes a bottom tier team in the NFC. Feel free to disagree all you want, but that's how I read the tea leaves.

Favre is the leader of the team, regardless of his retirement talk, regardless of what you'd like to present here. It's ridiculous to argue that point.

Agreed. The only question is exactly how good a leader he is...

Only because we've already clinched the East and have 11 wins. If we started the season with Cassel, I'd see us being 7-4. then again, that's only my humble opinion, so feel free to disagree.

You mean in regards to what YOU believe. How can no one argue his leadership? Because you said so? Your believing alot of what the media wants you to believe my friend. Not every Quarterback is the leader of there team. I know the media presents it that way but that is not always the case. He maybe 1 of the leaders but to say without a doubt he is THE leader is a fallacy. Oh and his leadership skills are questionable at best per his own actions not some media lovefest with yet another Southern QB in the NFL.

It would be ridiculous for Brady not to get the MVP this year - and that's if didn't throw another pass the rest of the season. You guys are seeing the stupid "justifications" for selecting someone else when Manning had his big year. Stars, coach, etc., etc., etc.

On Mike and Mike in the Morning on ESPN 2, guest host made a strong case (strong to him anyway) for Favre. Forget his name, but he's on the talk shows now and then. Mike Golic disagreed, saying it's Brady all the way. The guy's argument about Favre is that Brady has an all time great coach, and "all stars at practically every position". Favre has a rookie coach and few outstanding other players on the offense, so the Packers success this year is all about him. Just passing it on, I think it will be Brady in a landslide because the Patriots are on everybody's mind this year, not the Packers. Also, where was this argument in 2003 and 2004 when Tom was just about the only star on offense? I need to pull for Favre crapping the bed this Thursday now, just for insurance. Sorry Brett, but Brady must win this one.

If its about who is throwing to the worse receivers, and who has the least talent surrounding him then Brady should have about 4 MVP's.

Manning has always had stars on offense. Didn't stop them from giving him the MVP trophy. Stupidest reasoning I've ever heard.

By those standards/reasoning Brady should have been the MVP in '04 and especially in '05 and '06.

It'll actually be humorous to me if Brady is cut out by the same standards that should have cut him in (but didn't) in years past.
