MIAMI, FLORIDA (AP) - A seven-year-old Miami, Florida boy was at the center of a Miami courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Miami Dolphins, whom the boy and the judge firmly believe are not capable of beating anyone.

Why would the court send the boy to a broken home

I hope Ricky has stopped smoking pot.:D

I hear the kid has been named Cameron's new assistant head coach. Any time the coach comes up with a bonehead idea a 7-year old can poke holes in, like going for it on 4th and 11 in a bog, the kid will point out the mistake.

Thanks! Seeing that joke is one of my favorite rituals of late Fall!

the punch line's great. But I can't get into a joke about a kid who's been beaten by his parents and grandparents, no matter how clever the punch line.

Please don't flame me. I really do have a sense of humor. Just, there's too many kids getting beaten by the people who are supposed to be taking care of them for this to be funny to me.

At the end of the movie, "Dances with Wolves" there was a note "no animals were harmed in the filming of this movie"

No children were actual harmed in the writing of this joke.

True enough, but 4 kittens were killed in the writing.

That is not true, the kittens are fine.

On the other hand Flipper had nervous breakdown last night. Apparently the embarrassment of having such a pathetic football team named after him is starting to have a toll.
