The 85 Fins handed the Bears their first and only loss. They drew up a "blueprint" to beat the Bears. Did the Bears get exploited after that?

Sure the 2007 Eagles almost handed the Pats their first loss but didn't. Does a team get complacent at times? Sure.

Last night's game wasn't on the offense no matter how much you play. 31 points should be enough to win a game. This game is on special teams and the defense. If the Pats continue to have Eddie Jackson and Baker in the backfield we can expect alot of the same. We need Geno back and we need better play in the secondary. Was Gay injured throughout the game or at the end?

Don't hit the panic button just yet. These games happen and hopefully serve as wakeup calls. Some teams just match up better against the Pats than others. The Pats have 5 more games to get this ship finely tuned and work out the kinks.

Remember Detroit giving the Pats a run for their money?

Sometimes there are bumps in the road to the Superbowl.

I don't remember all this blueprint stuff after A.J. Feeley and the 2004 Dolphins put up 28 points on us and shut down our O. That was seen as an aberration, and this should be too.

There is no blueprint, all this talk of it is BS.

Yeah if you get pressure on Brady and shut down Moss you might slow the Pats down a little. DUH!

There's a big difference between knowing how to stop a team and actually executing it. So far the Eagles are the only ones who came even close.

Something that should be noted is that Philly was 1-3 against their own divison and 4-2 against the rest of the NFL. They've been on top of that division for so long the other three teams have built themselves up to beat them and are familiar with their players.

A healthy A. J. Feely is a better QB than an injured McNabb, so its not that shocking the Eagles gave the Pats a hard time.

Almost like Joey Harrington giving the Pats difficulty when he played for the Fins.

It was alot like us after we whipped the Eagles and Giants in back-back road games recently. After this tough stretch, we got a reeling Skins team at home(albeit without Sean Taylor and 1/2 of their OL), and EVERYONE thought the game would be a walk in the part. Right? Nope-Campbell and that team gave us fits the entire game all the way down to the final gun.

Pt being that it's Any Given Sunday-these are PAID professionals, that regardless of what team they're on, they're required to give all out every single week.

exactly....ask the Steelers about the Jets. and Indy about the Chargers and Chiefs.

Did I miss something? Did the Eagles hand us our one and only loss?

If not, then the 2007 Eagles do not = the 1985 Fins.

at this point i am more worried that 2007 Fins = 1985 Fins :p

No friggin was any kind of blueprint drawn up..

when you have 4 wide for practically the entire first half, no matter if your Tom Brady or David Carr-- behind the Pats O line of the Texans O-line..your going to get pressured, your going to get sacked and hit...period. If anything this was a very rare brainfart from the coaching staff...or just simply the eagles anticipating for the most part excatly what the pats were going to do...

Have the patriots been blitzed before? hell yes..

Has randy moss been shut down before? yes..

did the patriots lose? No..

If you don't beat the friggin team how is this a BLUEprint of anykind? Blitz us we'll kill you with welker...dont and we will kill you with moss..with sprinkles of stallworth and watson inbetween and a light dust of gaffney ..The eagles LOST the game.

Go ahead follow the blueprint the eagles laid out..blitz us..leave welker one on one with whomever is left out there and watch this little fellow tapdance his way into the elite level of nfl receivers..

True our Defense was flat out terrible for most of the game..but come on.. is it a big secret our LB's are slow and old? no it hasnt been for 3 years now damnit and they STILL can't get the job done..

these types of games seperate the chumps from the champs..when things looked dim, what happened? we responded..Brady took the game once again on his shoulders and did what he had to do...and I am not ready to sign a big fat check out to asante just yet..that last INT he has was a gimmie and a horrible throw and decision by feely..asante was just luck to have a few steps on curtis

I would not blame the lb's for the defense. The secondary was chaotic and at times you ahd both Jackson and Baker out there. It reminded me of the AFC championship game at times.

This game serves as a wakeup call hopefully, having the same effect a loss would have(without having the loss).

yeah our defense wasnt exactly spectacular....but what else is new?

We are think at secondary..considerably slowing down at LB... what else is new?

Well, we kicked them in the teeth 10 - 46.

They reverted to using the Fridge to bludgeon us, which told me they were basically intimidated by us.

They had to call Tony Eason names because they were afraid he was another Dan Marino.

If that game had been in Miami we would have beaten them.

First, not many NFL teams have a cornerback tandem as good as Lito Sheppard and Sheldon Brown. Second, the Eagles were literally playing for their playoff lives. Third, the Patriots offense should have run the ball to keep the Eagles defense honest. Fourth, the Patriots pass rush was anemic last night and were burned by the blitz.
