it looks like the league is catching up to us. Brady was held wayyyyy below his TD average.

we'll have a top 5 pick, I say we use it on Tebow, who can both run AND pass, which is what Brady can't do.

that way defenses won't know what is coming

thoughts?

Seconded. We've had to make do with an average QB for far too long now. You know how many 70-yd TD runs Brady has in his career? None!!!

But we should not wait. Bench Brady now. Put Cassel in. :)

yes...need to bench him...and did you see his body language! after that sack...he just got up and acted like it was nothing...he must be hiding something !

I proposed the correct solution on the opother thread.

In the past, the Pats have been successful acquiring underrated players from other teams that have burned them during the season -- see Welker, Morris, etc.

Clearly, our big offseason acquisition needs to be AJ FEELEY!

Not Tebow! He just broke his hand. He's made of Glass....

But Glass Brady's shoulder has been probable for the last four years. And he only has two rushing TDs on the year. With defenses play nickel all the time he should have way more.

You guys are crazy. You're missing the most talented QB in football who will be available once the season ends: Donovan McNabb

Let's suffer with Brady for the rest of the season and grab McNabb once he's dumped by the short-sighted Eagles. We can probably get a lower round draft choice for Brady once Don is in place.

My boy Troy Brown plays QB and still has a few years left in him. So, lets save the pick for another RB cuz all these wunderlics know that Maroney is a BUST.

Maybe we can get Bledsoe to come out of retirement. We all know that BB was a fool for going with Brady over Bledsoe back in 2001. But will the fool in the gray hoodie ever admit his mistake and get Bledsoe back.

Actually, the Pats need to trade Brady to the 'lphins for Trent Green, straight up. That will solve their problems.

[P.S.--Whoever gave this thread a 1 needs to check his/her sarcasm detector. ;) ]

Brady went from 5 Touchdown passes to 1 Touchdown pass. At this rate he'll throw -3 touchdowns this week!

Threads like this are why I love this site.

And for Pete's sake, we've got to draft the QB out of Air Force: who in the NFL can defend the option attack?

Since you mention it, do you realize Brady has falled 1 TD behind the pace Manning set in 2004 after 11 games?

Manning only threw for 8 TD passes in his last 5 games that year. Now, is this a reflection of poorer field conditions in December? Remember he plays at least half his games indoors as you decide that. Or is it a reflection of how the Colts typically falter late in the regular season, or else don't try hard in meaningless games?

In any case, it should show that Brady's breaking of the season TD passing record is not a given. Hopefully, he can take advantage of playing the Jets and Dolphins at home in those final five games.

You answered your Q in the last sentence ;)

Okay, okay.........we MIGHT be willing to trade Rivers for Brady, but only if you give us back Seau and Harrison as part of the deal, AND your #1 draft pick.

You guys are crazy. The QB isn't just a passer, he's a leader. That's why we need a fine upstanding young Mormon like John Beck to clean up the Pats cheating, profane and Godless ways.

I agree. Lets draft Tebow #2 overall. But what I want to see is both of them in the game at once. Line Tebow up right next to Brady in the shotgun. That way we can hike it to either guy. If it goes to Brady he can throw those quick screens hes so good at. That will be his specialty. If it goes to Tebow he can run with it or throw it. And oh yeah, we'll have a running back, preferably Heath Evans since he is our best, lined up on the other side of Brady (Brady's left). That way we can also run the option from our shotgun formation. Hello 16-0! Hello AFC Championship! Hello Super Bowl Champions!
