It had all the makings of an upset. A recovered onside kick; a missed chip shot field goal; a manhandled offensive line; a silent, shocked crowd; a questionable penalty; a few defensive breakdowns; a once-in-a-lifetime game from AJ Feeley; some key dropped passes from wide receivers.
No doubt most teams lose this game 100% of the time. Playing with a lack of emotion and physical prowess, how were the Patriots able to somehow pull off the improbable after never finding any rhythm all game?
54 passing attempts, zero interceptions
No fumbles lost.
As usual Brady's "bad game" was better than any other quarterback's "bad game". Their receivers took some huge licks on a cold field and held onto the ball every time. And that was the difference between winning and losing.
