1. Great wake up call
2. Reminds them on any given Sunday.......
3. Reminds them how key a credible running game is
4. Need to work on improving consistency with the ground game.

I think the Eagles did the Patriots a big favor tonight.

Agree 100%. I feel sorry for the Ravens.

I really wish Morris wasn't injured.

Agreed. Just like a loss would have been a wake-up call, a close game will have the same effect. The rest of the NFL should watch for the homestretch because the NEP are going to go thru a tear thru the playoffs.

Lots of people talking about the offense tonight.

Not sure running game or any of it was the problem. The offense put up 24 points. That's pretty good when your opponent has had 4 TD drives of more than 68 yards. If the defense gets the Eagles off the field on a more consistent basis and I think the Pats offense has much more chance to play balanced.

The team was playing either behind or with a small lead all game. In that circumstance, you go with your best.

I really wish Morris wasn't injured.

But the fact is that Morris is OUT for the year.
Maroney is obviously being held out from playing significant minutes.
BB would rather cut off his own arm then release injury information, but how else do you explain the total ABSENCE of a running game?
Evans and Eckel clearly don't cut it when the game is that close and hard fought.

There is SERIOUS cause for concern here.
I do agree that this game is RIPE for a coach to pick apart though.
The Pats come out with a win, but there are lots of areas they can improve upon, particularly RUNNING that football!

Hmm having another young, talented RB on this team sounds like a good idea right about now! Too bad we can't really address that till the 2008 draft.
If not for that pesky trading deadline, I'd offer the Raiders a 6th round pick for the discontented Lamont Jordan.

NOW the running game worries me...and its not maroney...its the O-line...

i think they put all their efforts into pass protection...so they forgot how to run block...im not joking iether...

the runner gets hit milliseconds after he touches the ball...its unreal

5. It gets the media (and the bookies) to temper their Pat-hype.

As it is every opposing team from now on will play the Pats like its the Game of the Year. There's nothing like being told by the media and Vegas all week long about how badly you're going to get beat to get yourself motivated.
