Now this may sound like a bit of a conspiracy theory, but bear with me for a second. With not many surefire franchise players at the top of this draft, what if the other teams in the league silently refuse to deal with the Pats. Many people on the board say "trade down" like it is as simple as stating it. There is no way the pats should take $0.50 on the dollar just to avoid selecting someone in the top 5. What do the Pats do and what are the cap implications? DO we select the BPA? Do we will pull a Minn. and not submit our pick in time?
IMO if we cannot trade down, we have to focus on DMac, or one of the Long boys. Dorsey would not fit on our defensive scheme and I cannot think of any other player worthy of a top 5 pick.
