Pats: "Disdain" for NFC opponents

What's more likely, Pasquarelli blatantly fabricated quotes for no good reason, or some players made some offhand comments that they didn't want attributed to them?

Or how about that the quotes may have been taken somewhat out of context. We all know how often that happens.

THis is news???? STOP THE PRESSES, the AFC is better than the NFC. What a scoop. This is the kind of BS ESPN has been doing all year, trying to paint the Pats in a poor light. This is simply more of the same. Get used to it, it isn't going to change. Personally I'd love to see the Pats boycott ESPN and their reporters just to make a point. If you are going to get defamed by a powerful media outlet anyway, you might as well get SOME satisfaction out of it.

I would love to have Stacey James come on and say that the Pats are boycotting ESPN because they quote out of context, create news not report it, and generally just make it up as they go along....THEN give about a hundred examples JUST on what they did to the Pats. I bet there would be an upswelling of support around the country who feel the same way, but were just afraid to voice it. :D

I don't believe it.
For many reasons ... two of which are that
Cowboys and Packers are in the NFC.

What Seymour said LAST YEAR is irrelevant.

The NFC sucked last year, this year the NFC is just as good as the AFC.

Last year the NFC was 24-40 against the AFC.

This year the NFC is 24-22 against the AFC.

Except when you look at matchups between top teams in the two conferences, the AFC tramples the NFC, still. I think in matchups between division leaders, the AFC has a 6-1 advantage currently. So basically, the NFC's bottom feeders have improved some to be competitive with the AFC's worst. Congratulations, they're still the weaker conference, by far.

Yet, Green Bay and Dallas are probably better than any AFC team besides the Patriots. Last year you could make a legitimate case that the best NFC team was the 5th best team in the NFL. Not even close this year.

Dallas has only lost to New England and Green Bay has swept the three best teams in the AFC West.

Haha, what a bunch of BS. Not even a rookie would say this from the Patriots, let alone a "veteran." Let me guess, It was Vrabel, right? Hahaha.

Raise you hand if you think multiple Patriots of any variety (veterans, rookies, tweeners) are talking to Len Pasquarelli??
I don't buy it at all!! Just more media making stuff up.
God this is sickening!

I think bulletin board material is overrated anyway. Teams talk smack all the time (except Pats), but only the winners claim they used bulletin board material.

When have you ever heard, "I can't believe we lost with all that bulleting board material."

if i remember correctly it was mcginest who said it when he asked how his former team played the vikings. i maybe wrong but i think it was him..

This sounds like such a FAKE. ESPN should be ashamed of themselves.

Wow, this seems totally made up. I mean, ESPN is now creating "bulletin board" material out of thin air by "anonymous" players in the hopes that the Eagles can rally. Call me a conspiracy theorist but this strikes me as k9 feces.

If it were a conspiracy, and I'm not saying it is, their goal would be more long term. They'd float this story now, then re-visit it at the time of the SB (should we be fortuate enough to get there) in an effort to fire up the NFC team by creating a fake controversy. That's ESPNs M.O.
