....the level of quality in NFL QB's is going to severely decline in the coming years. Look at the offenses of some of today's top programs- LSU, Florida - how many rely on the QB threading the needle? Too many "option" QB's who are a bigger threat to run than pass. Tim Tebow is going to win the Heisman and he can't execute the 2-minute drill to save his life.

Enjoy these days of Brady and Manning while you can. Even today I can tell the quality of NFL QB's is getting worse.

Notice that Mcfadden has been in a QB for the past like 5 plays... your right

With McFadden's versatility to play QB, you are drafting a RB AND a QB at once! What's not to like??

I'm convinced that if he is on the board when the 49ers pick comes up the Patriots have to find a way to take McFadden.

My only concern is how the heck we would pay that guy - we're talking at least $50 million contract.

McFadden does have some issues holding on to the ball.

for a position we really dont need. sure some spots on O could use improvement but D needs someone young. I dont see us paying anyone that much with the roster we have so im guessing we trade down

not only do i not see us paying McFadden that much..i dont see us paying any D player that much. Trade down to like #8-10 and take a player.

I agree I want McFadden on the Patriots!

The NFL superstar QB's of tomorrow are probably guys we've never heard of playing college today. Who'da thought Tom Brady or Tony Romo would one day be NFL stars based on their college careers...?

iam sure if mcfadden is available pats will have someone wanting to trade up

Yep, totally right, and it's really a shame. I hate to say it, but ever since more blacks started playing QB the position has really been deteriorating.

Good observation, Imus.

mcfadden looks like a wr. if you like him..you will love maroney ! and mar doesnt fumble. not at all impressed by mcf.

Thats right, I agree 110%, Brett Favre was a 3rd round pick if I'm correct. Just because some of the guys from the top schools dont pan out there is always guys from smaller or less prestigious schools and programs who may prove valuable. Btw I think there are some decent Qb's from some of the top schools anyway.
Lousiville-Brian Brohm and his talented backup hunter cantwell.
Boston College-Matt Ryan
USC-JDB
Hawaii-Colt Brennan

What do black QBs have to do with white QBs playing below average? I'm not understand your reasoning as to why this has caused the QB position to become average.

I dont like Maroney much. I def dont think we should draft Mcfadden.

We need defensive players.

There are way more black QBs, whose whole game is running around back there. It has caused the QB play to become much less cerebral as a whole.

Be quiet right now.

stereotyping? black QB = run?

wow

the reason some QBs run is because they have the ability to. Think if Brady wanted to he can do what Vick and Young did/do?

i have no problems with QBs that run..if they need to that is. It adds another dimension and helps the team..hurts the D.

Tony Romo runs..Ben Roethlisberger runs..Carr runs..Cutler.

just depends if u have the ability..if u do..you use it

the biggest runner right now is vince young..rest isnt close

Black = less cerebral? Uh-oh. You're too young to remember Doug Williams and Warren Moon? Those guys were prototypical pocket passers, and at least one of them is in the HOF.
