Yes I know this is not a huge deal, so before you jump down my throat but Mcfadden hasn't looked to great thus far today with fumbles on both of his kick-off returns.

I know he is a amazing nfl prospect just thought I would throw it out there

what this obsession with this guy. I would think they might go for some like Joe thomas (LT) the 3 rd pick from last year. this guy has not allowed 1 sack from his side against some good defences......having a good DL a tackle will be awesome. start him in RT and then swap with Light [who is done a great job but when he gets a bit slower with age]

He's not looking all that special so far. Not to say he isn't but this hasn't been one of his better games.

Watching alot of Mcfadden. He's quick, powerful, and multi dimensional, but for some reason i just dont think he'd make a good NE Patriot. He's got extremely long, thin legs, and everytime I watch him, it's as if he is running standing straight up.

No thanx, i'll pass. Unless we have the chance at a stud OL, I say we have to trade the pick and move on down.

Just a side note, Arkansas' punter makes Ken Walter look like a hall of famer.

if Maroney cant fit in this offense and dominate..i dont see McFadden either. Were better suited for powerful guys..think Corey Dillon, etc. In draft..thats Jonathan Stewart, James Davis

Boy...I was dead wrong here!!!

Great run, 73 yard TD. Even better was the block the QB set up, 40 yards down the field!

McFadden's having a good game. He has 150 yards rushing and 2TDs early 3rd quarter vs #1 team in the country.

ok I take back what I said about mcfadden earlier about the fumbles. He has exploded since with 2 td's. Might look good in patriot blue

I didn't even think he looked great on that run, just fast. The design of the play and a nice pair of blocks sprung him, he didn't do much but get outside and turn the corner without a defender within 5 yards of him, then take it down the sideline. His legs and feet really scare me if I'm thinking of drafting him as a top flight running back. He looks very mechanical when he runs, and his feet seem average at best. It forces him into that upright running style, which is just begging for an injury-plagued career. I know a lot of people are high on the guy, and he's definitely a top talent at the position, but I'm not sure he's top 5 good.

Does that long run ability translate to the NFL? YOu never see runs like that, it's mostly running in traffic for a few yards.

I like Addai better than him, can take a hit and keep going. Runs like a bowling ball.

202 yards 3 touchdowns. McFadden dominated the complexion of that game. any questions? watch the game till its end before you jump to hasty conclusions.

I may be the only one, but I was not overly impressed by McFadden today. I didn't see him pushing many piles or running over people, and he got stood up on numerous occasions. On his long TD run, he would have been run down by LSU if not for blocking by his teammates. He was even taken out on big plays in the end of the game (2 point conversion). I expect McFadden to be a solid pro, but when taking a RB at #2 overall, I expect someone who can outrun DBs and run over LBs. Not to mention the 3 fumbles today. I may be picky, but for a #2 pick, i was not overly impressed.
