4. Lawrence Phillips

6. Bruce Pickens
7. Robert Gallery
8. Andre Ware
9. Mike Williams

Don't forget Ken Sims.

Kijana Carter, Curtis Enos, Ted Ginn.....:singing:

Dewayne Robertson DT NY Jets. :D

Tim Couch, Eugene Chung, Chris Canty,

Gallery doesn't belong on that list

yes he does. he sucks at tackle and guard. he is also 1 of the most penalized players in the league.

Not even close to the names mentioned. Spending the 1st overall on a decent run stuffing lineman who gets no sacks is a really bad pick, but a 7 year starting lineman (when not injured) is not a bust.

Sorry, but there's simply no way in hell that Gallery is one of the top 10 draft busts of all time. It's not as if he's even in the top 20 to make a debate out of it. It's a ridiculous notion.

Charles Rogers
Brian Bosworth
Brian Bosworth's sweet hair
Butch Davis' career draft choices

Quick look at bigger busts than Robert Gallery just in the "past" 10 drafts, going from most recent to older choices, not counting the 2004 draft or later:

Charles Rogers
Jonathan Sullivan
Ryan Sims
David Terrell
Gerard Warren
Courtney Brown
Tim Couch
Akili Smith
Ryan Leaf
Andre Wadsworth
Curtis Enis
Darrell Russell
Cedric Jones
Rickey Dudley
Lawrence Phillips
Ki-Jana Carter
Michael Westbrook
J.J. Stokes
Heath Shuler
Rick Mirer

I left any player that I even questioned being less of a bust than Gallery off this list (i.e. Mamula) and stopped at 20. Gallery is not anywhere near the top 10 all time draft busts.

Some of these guys didn't deserve a bust label imo. If a player like Katzenmoyer or Emtan get's seriosuly injured why should that count against him? Desmond Howard shouldn't be a bust because he had one of the greatest KR seasons ever. A bust a WR? Yes, but he was also a Super Bowl MVP.

24. Tony Mandarich

26. Brian Bosworth

Get ready to add Dorsey to the list in a few years ... won't be a bad bust ... just not 1st round talent ... perhaps not even 2nd.

Here's a couple more big busts....

- Dan McGwire

- Andre Bruce

- Keith McCants

Gallery is a monster of a bust. He is a 27-year-old former 2nd overall pick who got $18.5 million guaranteed.

The order of pick, guaranteed dollar value of the rookie contract and on-field performance are the only relevant criteria here. Gallery fits all three very well as a top 10 or 15 bust. Of course virtually all of this is subjective, beyond someone like Ryan Leaf.

Excellent work.

My one beef, 'cause there always is one, is that Mamula might catch a break, too.

He never should have been drafted where he was drafted. People jump on the bust tip solely on the player. Where is the culpability on the team?

Tom Brady. Taken far too high and has done nothing to justify this.
