With Dallas and Green Bay playing well it could be a good Superbowl, who would have think it?

Re: Competitive Superbowl?

let us get there first..one game at a time.

If we don't suffer a plague of injuries and make the Super Bowl, I don't think it will be a competitive game for 60 minutes. Maybe 3 quarters.

The only competitive game you will see is SF / Dallas in the NFC Championship game.

After that....S/bowl won't even be close.

Personally, I would like to administer a little payback to Bret Favarah for 1996. We already beat Dallas, handily, this year. I want GB.

The patriots and colts are much better than the cowboys and the pack. IMHO, little has changed since last year regarding the difference between the conferences.

If SF makes it to the NFC Championship game I will be impressed. :bricks:

True, Dallas doesn't do much for me. I'm rooting for GB to represent the NFC and face the Pats.

if that matchup happens its a media haven. Win or lose brett favre will be the news.

Playing well against other NFC teams.*

There will be plenty of stories on both teams, and the interview demands with the players and coaches that still remain on their respective sides like BB and Bruschi for the Pats and Favre for GB. But it would be sweet for the Pats to avenge SBXXXI which makes the potential 4th Lombardi feel a lot more meaningful.

yup, would love to beat GB, but i think they are our toughest opponet this yr...we havnt played them yet, but i think they would give us a LOT of trouble....dont know if they would win, ill tell u after next week....

but i think GB, if it goes to the SB, will give the Pats a run for their money

Give me a break. The Washington Redskins gave them (the Packers) a run for their money.

Green Bay would be a terrible matchup. They would get blasted against New England. Dallas would put up a much better fight. Their defense is getting healthy and playing pretty well.

There will be candle light vigils for the Packers in 40 states and 10 countries if they play us in the SB. Everyone will be rooting for them. It would be creepy.

I like Pats vs Packs. Moss lines up as safety in a Hail Mary play and intercepts Favre. Favre's dream of throwing a reception to Moss becomes reality.:D Go Pats.:rocker:

Better yet,Wasn't Green Bay one of the OTHER teams that claimed that during the 30-0 killing we put on them last year that there were cameras spying on them?

BB would hold nothing back - The Pats would win by a similar score of 30-0

I'm still pissed about that desmond howard kickoff return back in '96. Every time I think of SB31 that moment goes through my head... So yes, I want GB in XXLII

F'in Desmond Howard.

I like the Pack matchup, but I want the Cowboys more. Theirs fans would be far more devastated by a Super Bowl loss. They act like Romo is the second coming and they talk more trash. Crayton is like "if they make it to Arizona we will see them again." That is even more of a slap to the NFC then it was to us. We had just spanked them for goodness sake. I also have a theory that once in the big game, BB plans to take the "run up the score thing" to a new level even more. I would love to see us beat the Cowboys like 73 - 0. No worry about injuries in the last game of the season! MHO
