I know the Lions got Calvin Johnson who has not lived up to the hype so far imo.
Who else was drafted in top 1-6 has looked like a star and played well?
thanks

It was a pretty good year for the high drafted rookies. Johnson has done well considering he has Roy Williams on the other side and has had some back problems. Joe Thomas, Adrian Peterson, LaRon Landry have all been very good. I haven't paid much attention to Gaines Adams or Levi Brown.

JaMarcus has the best job in the world, CJ doesn't seem to be a good fit with the Lions but should be good, Joe Thomas will be All-Pro in no time, Gaines Adams showed some life this week but nothing fantastic, Levi Brown looks to be dependable which is what they wanted, Landry looks good enough, we all know about Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Anderson is at the same level as Adams, I guess, Ted Ginn Jr. was a really high pick for a returner and Amobi Akoye looks amazing for a 20 year old in the NFL.

-Adrian Peterson
-Amobi Okoye
-Patrick Willis
-Marshawn Lynch

Willis!!!!

I wish we had taken Patrick Willis

And I'm sure the Bruins wish they had taken Sidney Crosby. In both cases they were long gone before their pick came up.

I look at the box scores for Patrick Willis and this guy is a tackling machine. It's too bad the 9ers can't generate any kind of pressure with their d-line cuz he would probably light it up in the sack department too.

You're wrong about Calvin Johnson. He is having a fine season as far as rookie WRs go. On pace for 55 Rec, 800+ yards and 7TDs. He was the reason the final score vs. GB looked respectable. Dwayne Bowe is slightly outperforming him only because he is KC's only option at WR. Whereas Johnson is #3.

Joe Thomas is playing the best. Adrian Peterson was drafted 7th. Laron Landry has been good. Havn't heard much about Levi Brown or Gaines Adams.

I thought David Harris did some nice things against the Cowboys, but I'd rather have the 49ers 2008 first rounder & Randy Moss :)

Patrick Willis is the beast I thought he would be, and it's really a shame that NE didn't have a shot at him. Honestly, he was probably my favorite player in that entire draft class, but I'm a LB so there is some bias there, lol. I'm going to stand by my claims that he'll be a better pro backer than AJ Hawk. And I'll once again say that he would have been just fine within NE's system, but we'll likely never see it. Man, I remember the thread we had going where I argued with BOR about Willis...

I seen Patrick Willis on TV a lot here in Carolina when he was in Collage and the guy just made plays. Hopefully next year we get a LB like him to bring in.
