Ive been down here for 13 years and this is the first time I can remeber no one talking trash about the pats. 95% of the callers into talk radio relize the eagles have no chance witch is odd because there such homers here and really the only debate is weather the pats will cover. Also Most of the sports media has a lot of respect for what the patriots are doing.

Isn't Philadelphia's sports media a combination of the viciousness of New York's sports media and the quiet, disillusioned pessimism that has to belong to Cleveland?

My favorite comment was the guy who compared it to getting in trouble at school. At least for us 40somethings. You knew when you got home the beating you were going to get from your dad was going to be worse that what they dished out at school. You weren't looking forward to it at all. But, you knew what was going to happen. Now, parents blame the teachers when their kids get in trouble. So, they probably don't know what I'm talking about.
The Eagles have just gotten a poor report card. And, now they are going to suffer the consequences.

I agree. Imagine how the Jets feel. They have to watch other teams get punished first, knowing they are going to get the worst of it all.

If you read what some of those losers are saying on Jetsinsider, you would see that they are expecting a Jets upset and that Kellen Clemmens is going to have a career day against us.

Thats exactly how media is down here. You have to have a thick skin to play in philly but I cant really blame them your talking about a city with four pro teams and they havnt won a championship twenty something years.

I'd rather be a kid today. My teacher lifted me off the ground by my ear and collapsed my ear drum. Yeah, maybe i deserved it, but I was six. I've had bad hearing all my life because of her. The damn thing is 75% collapsed! Back then you didn't sue. If anyone ever deserved to lose her job and her bank account, it was her.

You should have taken her knees out!?!?

I hate these analogies. What she did was wrong and I'm glad times have changed. The Pats are professional adults doing their jobs against other professional adults. We have way too many frivalous lawsuits in our society today, but I don't think anyone would complain about a teacher like that getting sued today, which is why teachers aren't allowed to treat rambunctiuos six year olds as if they could possibly do something so wrong that they deserve a lifelong penalty for it.

They saw the weather report and now know a severe hurricane is upon them. All they can do is board up the windows and minimize the damage.

It looks like McNabb has detention.

BINGO! this is exactly what TB was saying on WEEI about intimidating your next opponent .....this is why scoring 50 plus points every week is so important....teams you will face and their fans accept defeat before they ever set foot on the field. Its a beautiful thing to see.

Mike Schmidt, the Phillies Hall of Fame 3rd baseman put it best when describing Philly media.
" you get the thrill of victory and the agony of reading about it the next day"

Speaking of the rats,I have to work on Sunday nights so I go over and look up the Post, and The Daily news. The Rats players sounded just like the fans. After beating the Steelers they were, well sounding like rats fans, talking sh!t ,and beating their chests about there on track and every one should watch out 'cause their back. What a pathetic excuse for a team, and along with its fans.

If your Boys don't pound them into submission, I am going to be very
disappointed. I want to see them crying for mercy and humiliated.
For One Day I'm a Cowboys fan.
