OK to run up score...Newsweek

Succint, cogent, that article is downright awesome. If only the rest of the country and the mediots would be forced to read it.

Nice summary of all the reasons to go for it. Great concluding paragraph saying nobody wept for us when Da Bayiz humiliated us. Along those lines, the Bears that year issued a SuperBowl video BEFORE making the superBowl. That's arrogance.

What a brilliant article. Newsweek is in on the action!

The Pats really are quite a story this year, aren't they. So much for any hope we ever may have nurtured of "flying under the radar!"

The only problem I have is "there is a reward for holding tickets since the very first season back in 1960"... in our case it was being moved from the 50 to the corner of the end zone and jacking up the prices. Some reward... and hence why we're no longer season ticket holders.

But yeah, the article is good. It's exactly what I think. These are pro athletes, getting paid to play. We're supposed to worry about their feelings being hurt?

Wonderful article. Mark Starr is one of my favorite writers.
I was thinking the same thing from Brady's interview: he wants to play. That's what he works for and lives for. Injury risk be damned. He wouldn't be in this biz if he were scared of that.

Now, the part he said about 10 weeks with the new corp of receivers is interesting. I wonder how much better they would be after 6 more weeks of practice?

We should thank every opponent D from now on for being their sparing partners.

Great article. Not only because it speaks the truth - though it does - but very well written. The writer comes off as an intelligent person, not just some run-of-the-mill slob.

And he reminds us that Moss and Brady are still trying to get better because they have only played together 10 games. What a great point, I almost forgot Moss did not play the preseason.

Yeah, the other two tandoms he mentioned had years together to perfect their plays.....

Great article...
Not sure if any of you follow rugby (which in my opinion is football's precursor) but ... here are some scores from the world cup 2007 ... and sadly/luckily no one complaint about running up the score (not too mention those are games between nations)... they are grown ass men playing in there ... not a bunch of cry babies ... Man i get mad every time i hear the running up score crap :enranged: :enranged: :enranged:
New Zealand 108 - 13 Portugal
Australia 91 - 3 Japan
France 87 - 10 Namibia
New Zealand 85 - 8 Romania
New Zealand 76 - 14 Italy
Argentina 63 - 3 Namibia
France 64 - 7 Georgia
Wales 72 - 18 Japan

GO PATS ... fu**'em all
