"Hello, I run a Fathers Organization and am a Patriots fan. However I am wondering if I have wasted years of devoted fanship and much money being a Patriots fan. This is the most unsportsmanlike team I have seen in recent memory. As we talked in our web meeting during the end of the game, (as we were going for it on 4th down instead of kicking a field goal) "How can we tell our children that this is the way a TEAM handles itself?" Very embarrassed and ashamed are thousands of us fathers who are Patriot Fans that our team is not a Team we would want our children to imitate or look up to. Congratulations on the 10 - 0 start and Boo's for the way this team presents itself to Children and Fans everywhere."

You know that guys kid gets the crap kicked out of him at school on a daily basis.

Too his credit, Tom Casale rips him a new one in his reply.

Why are people always looking for professional sports franchises and athlete's to be their kid's morality models.

THAT'S WHAT PARENT'S ARE FOR!

This guy probably jumped on the bandwagon a few years back and doesn't know **** about football anyways. I suggest he jump on the Colts "good-ship lollipop" if he wants a wholesome team with characters that represent virtue and truth.

I think this poster is lying. It's actually a soccer mom from Newton. No self respecting male football fan would EVER say something like that.

Apparently, this guy is too busy playing bridge and gossiping with his "Fathers organization" to spend any time with the little guy.

This guy definitely was still nursing on a bottle and sucking his thumb well into his childhood...I would suggest therapy but that would take much too long. This dude needs to be exposed to the spiral staircase "D" at a Jets game.

This "father" is an idiot!!

glad to see the reply he got :)

He might be speaking for "thousands of fathers" but I am not one of them!

You've OBVIOUSLY never seen a soccer mom from Newton at a sporting event.
:D

I could not agree more with Casale's response to the "Father of the Year."

This is sort of unrelated, but did read further and see Casale's argument for drafting McFadden. Pretty good stuff.

Funny, I was watching the game with my son and was pointing at the other guys and telling him the "whatever you do in life, don't embarrass yourself like that by not being prepared mentally and physically for the challenges that life with throw at you. Don't ever allow yourself to be treated like someone else's bit*h, financially, spiritually as well as physically".

What a bad father I am :bricks:

Raise your own children......see Charles Barkely for some advice..........:rocker:

No, this so-called "father" is actually a very nervous Jets fan. Lets face it, he knows a very painful and humiliating event is coming his way. He's deceptively begging for mercy.

I say let the poor dolt sweat. And I hope he watches the Eagles game.

Casale's reply is really a thing of beauty.

I am having extreme difficulty believing the letter is for real. If it is, I feel extremely embarrassed for that guy and the "thousands of fathers" he represents. He should absolutely never be allowed around an NFL event again....I think that he might find figure skating more his speed. Of course, they are ridiculously competitive there too....what with people clubbing their opponents and all, so now I'm at a loss. Table tennis, maybe?

It is just unbelievable to me that a team who is playing to standards of total perfection is being criticized so heavily for being too good. I have literally never seen anything like this. Embarrassing other teams has nothing to do with this, nothing at all. The Patriots are playing against their own idea of perfection. THe fact that the same thing is happening to all these different teams (save the Colts, who actually manned up and played an awesome game) should give everyone a hint that it's not about the specific other teams. THey are just the "opposition" on that particular day.

His reply reminds me of that scene in Pulp Fiction:

I couldn't tell ya. I didn't know he was dead 'til you told mehe was dead. Now I

know he's dead, do you wanna know how I feel about it?

I don't feel the least little bitbad. You wanna know why,Esmarelda?
'Cause I'm a boxer. And after you've said that, you've said pretty much all there is

to say about me. Now maybe that son-of-a- ***** tonight was once at one time a

boxer. If he was, then he was dead before his ass ever stepped in the ring. I just

put the poor bastard outta his misery. And if he never was a boxer --

(takes a drag) That's what he gets for f*ckin' up my sport.

I really doubt this is a true patriots fan. I believe he mistakenly left out a "R" in his last name.

He should turn to the Titans organization for role models instead, or maybe the Falcons.

When will people get it through their skulls that athletes are just athletes, and mostly morons at that? There's far worse things your kids are learning from the TV and sports in general than running up the score.

I demand he turn in his testicles at the next meeting! Clearly he has no use for them.

In high school and college it's called running up the score. In the NFL they are professionals. There is no excuse for being so far behind another team with parity rules, free agency, revenue sharing, etc.
