I would like to see the team use Chad and have Moss or Stallworth sit when we are having these 20+ point leads in the 2nd half and if it looks like the game is in total control.

If he is going to be with us for the future at WR it might be cool to see him get some reps as he looks to be at least near 100% now,Moss and Stallworth can use the rest and Jackson gets some playing time.

Its not like putting third stringers out there as Jackson is highly expected to be a starter in 2008 probably opposite Moss if Stallworth leaves.

Maybe BB will use him more during garbage weeks once we clinch HFA.

I think these 20 point leads scream Chad Jackson 'come out and play' time, lets see what this highly touted kid got now that we can afford to use him more often when we have big leads.

Agree?

He was out there on the scrub squad with Cassell against the Bills. I say light it up lets see what the backups can do.

I want Moss to get the WR TD record this year, so only when Cassel is out.

A shame we just dump it to the FB's everytime we're in that situation. Though actually they've looked great, we could have easily scored last week had BB went for it on 4th and inches. (Funny how the media isn't talking about that at all!)

You know this is the other positive that doesn't get mentioned often when referring to our dominance this season.

We have a lot of backups who are getting valuable full speed live game experience. That is a good thing both for our depth this year and for the future as well.

I'd love to see the Pats turn Cassell into a Matt Schaub and be able to trade him away for a bundle to some team desperate for a QB.

I want BRADY to be throwing to Jackson since it will be this combo we should be seeing in the upcoming years - Stallworth may not be here next year and Moss is no guarantee once he sees whats on the open market and if he gets a ring even more money will be coming for offering.

Lets enjoy this year because no one knows whats around the corner for this team at WR next year except we know Welker is pretty much the ONLY guarantee he is a WR here next year.

I feel about Cassell the same way others feel about Maroney and his future, both in negative ways - But thats my opinion.

Thanks for the pic!
Back on topic, why not have chad in the rotation the whole game?
We need to see what he is about.

CJ could be useful in the playoffs. At least in KO returns, he could spell Hobbs, who is valuable as CB. Go Pats:rocker:

I saw him out there with Cassel at the end of this last game but i didn't see him do anything.

When we are up by 30 i would like to see him out there with Washington and more Gaffney.

But i understand that Brady and our starters are still working on getting better, as ridiculous as that sounds.

.........

That's a good observation. I was watching on one play. It was a running
play to the right and he was lined up on the left. When the ball snapped
he just stood there and watched the running play to the right. Now
maybe that is what he was suppose to do but ... I don't think so.

Re: Anyone for getting Chad Jackson out there after 20+ point leads in upcoming weeks

Chad Jackson is not going to need to "spell" Hobbs in the playoffs on kick returns b/c we are probably only going to have 3-4 kick returns at most during the game. Chad Jackson probably isnt going to be active during the playoffs unless injuries arise. Washington is doing his job on special teams and Gaffney proved last week that Brady trusts him and he is a decent fourth WR.

Im not saying Jackson doesnt have a future with the team he isnt going to play a role this year. The problem with getting him in scrub time is it is usually with Cassel, against other teams second string and we are just running the ball and dumping it off to backs. The only way we are going to tell if Jackson can eventually be a starting WR in this league is work with the first string against the first string and that simply isnt going to happen this year.

People seem all ready to kick Stallworth out of town (I understand his contact situation) and give Jackson a starting spot when he has proved next to NOTHING in his short career up to this point. You would have thinked he would have worked himself onto at least a few special teams this week, and Im not counting scrub time KO returner

The problem is, we ran pretty much all running plays on that last series Cassell led, no chance for CJ to make a mark. Of course, if they threw him the ball and he did something special with it, we'd hear even more running up the score jibber jabber...

Re: Anyone for getting Chad Jackson out there after 20+ point leads in upcoming weeks

Tom Brady does not like this idea.

He's said that he needs and wants more game reps with his receivers whom he's only had for 10 NFL games. Manning has an uncanny communication with his guys and Brady knows that in the playoffs he'll need to be on the EXACT same page with his wideouts in a variety of different situations.

Perhaps CJ can spell a tired Stallworth for a play here and there throughout the game but that's if and only if he impresses BB during the week's practise. Virtual rooks and backup players need to impress the coach between games in order to get PT.

I want to see Jackson too. He will get his time towards the end of the season, possibly against the Jets and Dolphins.
