In thinking about who might be able to stop the Patriots, to me there is only one team. The Steelers was a silly suggestion. The Colts proved that it would take their best day on our worst to get close.

But I have a question. Does a suddenly resurgent Denver team scare you? This is a team that has typically had our number year after year. We have a completely different team now than the last few times we played them, but I'm curious as to your thoughts?

Only one problem, we won't play Denver. Denver will NOT make it to the playoffs. They played a horrible Titans team. Don't fool yourself.

Only because over the last 30+ years i've been conditioned to feel that way especially in Denver. But that won't happen this year.

Nope. I'm hoping they make the playoffs and we get a chance to play them. That's the one thing that's missing this season, is a chance to destroy Denver to make up for past frustrations.

In order of scariness:

1. Indy (when healthy)
2. Denver (w/ Javon Walker back, their big play ability scares me). They could be especially troublesome in a bad weather game.

These are the only two coaching staffs that have been able to match wits w/ the Pats coaching staff.

There is no third team.

i want sandiego to lose because of ladanian "classy" tomlinson, but denver is more of a threat to us just because they somehow manage to beat us in the past... i dont know how denver is going to beat us now, but i fear denver more than san diego...

All they have do is outplay a HORRIBLE SD team down the stretch.

Shanahan+Cutler >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Turner+Rivers

Frankly,if we don't destroy them at their house(and we wouldn't play them there this year),we have really done nothing.
Going to their house, like when we "Squished the Fish" is the best way to kill a demon.

Agreed. My one small beef with how this season is looking like its going to go is that the Donkeys won't ever be the recipient of an eff you touchdown. I can almost go so far as to say that I'd surrender a perfect season in return for getting to shed some Donkey blood.

Does Denver scare me.

Erm, no.

In a way I would like to play Denver and pay them back for that playoff game a couple of years ago. But, the only way they will make it is to win the West and then they may not even make it pat WC weekend.

Uh . . . hm . . . ok. So playing without 5 starters would represent our best day? Playing on your worst day? And it was still close. I see. Have you watched football longer than 30 minutes?

Ya, buddy, I think the refs made up more than enough for the 5 players you guys were missing. That and your phantom crowd noise. See ya in January. Bring your thermals. :D

Is that an excuse I hear? It couldn't be. Not from a Colts fan.

Have you watched your pathetic team struggle over the last two weeks?

You know, if you had a point, I would respect you, but you always have to throw in the snarky comment at the end. So, bugger off jerk.

I thought it was possible for Denver to meet the Pats in the play offs because I look at that division and it seems to me the only logical winner would be Denver. San Diego will not win that division because the players have no direction from coaching. KC and Herm? doubt that. Oakland...nevermind.
So I think Denver takes that division at 9-7. But they will have to face a division champion in the first round. Either Pittsburgh or Indy.
They will not make it by either of these 2 teams so the possibility of a NE/Denver match up is nil. Sadly.
I would have loved to see the Pats do to Denver what they did to Buffalo.

Bucket .... mop ... now swab the decks!

I don't think we should fear a 2nd year qb. Once the Pats get the lead and Denver has to pass, it would be a massacre.

I don't want to play Denver unless we have to.

Don't tempt the gawds.

Remember it was hubris that brought down one of those Greek guys.:bricks:

The Colts out of the dome are ducks out of the water. The only reason they had any success against the Pats was because of the incredible job by their defensive linemen. Without pressure, they're toast like everyone else.
