Anyone else hear the fear in the voice of the Dolphins from 72 who have spoke out about the Patriots? They are getting worried. How great would it be if the Pats go 16-0 and the Dolphins 0-16

There was a lot of bluster in Mercury Morris's voice.

It won't be long before the rest of the champagne poppers will be sought out by the media and hounded for quotes. The week leading up to the Dolphins game ought to be a real circus. That's when denial will flow like a river.

They are shytting in their depends.

The "Grumpy Old Men" of the '72 Dolphins are a hateful bunch who are soon going to have to cry in their champagne glasses.

The members of that '72 team are getting annoying. The are known for just one thing and they are so desperately trying to hang onto it, it's getting pathetic. I seriously think if the current Dolphins went undefeated it would piss them off. Exclude Shula from that.

at their age, they should be drinking 'ensure' and not champagne... champagne clouds their judgment coming up with *****ing remarks against the pats...

should they be scared? they should be, if that little feat means so much to those old people...

Undermining what they did is a little over board; that was one hell of an accomplishment.

ok, i exaggerated a bit.. but not winning the sb after a perfect season would be a big disappointment... i think its about priorities and i think being the champ is better than a perfect season, but having both would be the best...

Not winning it all basically wipes out the entire season for the Pats. That would be more embarrasing then anything.

More embarrassing then say going winless for an entire season? :)

If/when the Pats DO go undefeated, it will be no stain on the 72 Dolphins.
They're just going to have to make room on the hill.
Perfection can only be matched not exceeded.

19-0 > 17-0. I would say it would be exceeded.

Not really a fair comparison since the 72 Dolphins didn't have any choice over how many games they played, plus they didn't have a bye week to rest up.

I think you're just going to have to do some work and decide on the merits of the particulars of each team's (strength of schedule, margins of victory, etc) to better gauge which is the "better perfect" team. And this has been done by some scribes (links found in other threads) who have leaned heavily in the 07 Pats camp.
