Warning: MARONEY IS ABOUT TO EXPLODE

I'll be VERY surprised if Maroney reaches the 100 yard mark tonight. However I will be pleasantly surprised if he can manage to prove me wrong.

then prepare to be delighted...

i predict more then 150 yds, and 2 tds

(at the least, if I may add?)

I watch him every week. Like I say, I like him and I think he is a solid back, but he's not a "top 5 back in the NFL" type back. He's not a game-changing, playmaking type of back. That's all I am saying.

I mean, honestly, are you telling me you would not trade Maroney straight up IN A HEARTBEAT for any of the following backs?

Adrian Peterson
Willie Parker
Joseph Addai
Deuce McAllister
Marshawn Lynch
LaDanian Tomlinson
LenDale White
Reggie Bush
Mo Jones-Drew

Now, THOSE lads are what I would call EXPLOSIVE!

Not a knock on Maroney, as I say. He's a solid, servicable back and a nice kid, but just NOT explosive, IMO.

I love New England, but that doesn't mean I think EVERY single player we have is the best at their position! Now THAT'S insane!
Bush? Drew? White? Lynch? McAllister?no way

White explosive? AAAAAAAHAHAHA. McAllister explosive? AHAHa

if u really think those players are better..some are but i'll be fair and compare everyone

Maroney: 4.7 ypc
White: 3.5
Tomlinson: 4.2
Parker: 4.1
MJD: 5.3
Bush: 3.8
Lynch: 3.8
Peterson: 6.4
McAllister: 3.8
Addai: 4.4

again..i would take some..but not all. Maroney isnt top 5 but neither are half of those

I hope you're wrong about Marnoey exploding......my God, if he missed 3 games for a groin injury, how long will he be out for an explosion?

There are a few guys on that list I would trade him for in a heartbeat.....in no order.....Bush, Addai, Lynch off the top of my head.....but Lendale White...you have got to be kidding me....the only reason you want to trade for him heads up is if you own the local Burger King franchises.....

thats right for all you nonbelievers, i said it, and u can bank on it (i think)...

this is the game which will mark the beginning of the rest of maroney's career...

this is where we do not see a kid plagued by injuries, it is not where we see a dancer instead of a burster, this is where we see potential before our very own eyes...

stay tuned, and you will watch the best runningback in the NFL....as there will be no doubt to that statement in 2 yrs time....

but all good things begin somewhere, tonight is where Maroney, the true Laurence Maroney will be unleashed....

prepare to be delighted pats fans....

prepare to fall prey to misfortunate timing Bills fans...

Okay, there's 1 TD in the first 2 minutes...... Apparently he's taking you serious :singing:

After all the "Maroney is made of glass" stuff on this board, I thought you were about to report he was planning to go to the Opera.

I hope you kept the receipt for your crystal ball.

Word is he is out with a foot injury (boston.com)

GLASS

I think I heard some kids outside throwing bang snaps, but haven't heard any explosion.

thats right....

Sorry dude, feel bad for you. I too hoped we would see some solid showing by him. Hope his 'foot injury' is not serious and he is back next week...

Maroney's total - 6 rushes, 19 yards, 1 TD
I'm just hoping he is not hurt again.
I suppose at this point, we'll settle for healthy.
We'll need Maroney against Philly.

Right now our RB depth chart is -
Heath Evans and Kyle Eckel

Hurt - Morris for the year, Maroney unknown ding, Faulk unknown head injury.

McFadden is starting to look better and better as a pick next year. :)
