Last 8 FG attempts: Vin: 37.5% Gost: 100% And that's including the field goal Adam just made.

Over the last year.......... There IS NO COMPARISON. In BB we trust.

Any kicker can go through streaks. Streaks are not the body of work.

Gotti has missed 4 FG since Week 4 of LAST YEAR :D

(including last year's playoff games).

Gost's kickoffs are the tie breaker for me. I mean, we are all well aware of AV's accomplishments but right now, I'd take Gost over AV.

I'd hate to say AV's washed up but he's on the 18th hole right now. I just hope his recent streak doesn't affect his HoF candidacy. I'd like for AV to be the second pure kicker to get into the Hall.

Vinatieri will go down as one of the best kickers in history. We don't know where Gostkowski will end up being remembered.

That said, I shedded no tears when Vinatieri went to Indy. His time was clearly over in New England. He was becoming a liability in the kick off game and long field goal attempts. I don't think his leg is strong enough to kick outdoors anymore. I think he went to Indy specifically because a dome would extend his career and hide some of loss of power in his leg.

Gostkowski has been a solid pick up. He should be a good to great kicker for us for the next decade. His kick offs are better than Vinatieri's ever were. My only complaint is that he does kick off the ball out of bounds a little too much. That penalty is a killer since the opposing offense starts on its 40. He has done that I think twice this season and that is two times too many.

Gost is turning into a solid kicker.

Fortunately for us, we have not had to put him on the field with 3 seconds left and down by 2....But I am beginning to think that he is starting to look like the kind of kicker who can get it done.

I'm not going to put him into the AV category yet, but for a young kid on a veteran team, he looks more and more like a solid, level-headed young man who can handle a big kick.

AV would make the HOF if his career ended today.

......and from what I've seen it may already have. :rocker:

Missed two field goals to continue his 4-misses-in-a-row-streak from last game. Then, he finally kicked one in at the last second. However, he was wearing bifocals and was within a hand's reach of the post.
