Is an insane homeless person. Agree? Disagree? Discuss? Judging by his comments on Sportscenter I say insane.

...and for those of us who didn't hear those comments... they were what ?

"Don't talk to me when they're in my neighborhood, talk to me when they're moving in next door...bla, bla, bla".

Ya i saw that...
now i hope they go undefeated 1000 times more then i did before just to shut the old man up!

yea, he was ranting as if the Pats have been talking alot about it. Every time I hear a Patriot it's focusing on the game at hand.

Greatest rant I've ever seen. Just reading the comments can't do it justice.

"They have what....10 more icebergs on that Titanic voyage. And nobody's made it across those waters except for us! So we're sitting here docked on the other side waitin' for ya!"

Then the don't call me line...

"Call me when you're next door movin furniture in! And then I'll be standing there...in my tux waiting for my bride!"

Just insane. If someone can find the video I'd be in their debt.

"They're comparing them to a 17-0 team? If they were 17-0, but I think they are like 10 games short right now, right? They got 10 more icebergs to go through in this titanic trip that they're talking about. So far nobody's made it across their except us! (crazy look in eyes). So we're over docked here waiting on ya!"

"I'm telling ya I respect the Patriots if they do that, but right now they haven't done that. So come to me, like I said, don't call me me when you're in my town, call me when you're on my block and I see ya next door moving your furniture in, thats when I'll know you're going to the Championship and you're about to play. And if you win it I'll be dressed up in a tuxedo waiting on my bride."

I think the last time Mercury went 17-0 was when he snorted 17 lines at a Christmas Party.

That was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Icebergs, furniture, dressed up in a tux, that had it all.

It looked like they talked to him on a golf course. Or was that just a park with a bench that he sleeps on?

I don't really see the problem. He's correct in that it's very early to be talking seriously about going undefeated. All it takes is one bad game, and the Patriots still haven't even played half their games (7 regular season and 3 postseason to go in order to go undefeated).

yeah, thay're not close yet, but, still, his neighborhood was a cell block.

There's a lot of wisdom in that rant. Kind of funny way to put things but the metaphors are good.

I would hardly say there were any "icebergs" along the way in the Dolphins' journey to 17-0.

Make these Patriots play a .400 schedule 50 times and they'll walk out of it 950-0.

And guys, take into consideration that he has probably been asked the same question for the last x number of years whenever any team started with a 6-0 record. So, he must be tired of answering the same old replies mid season when none of the teams ever made it.

Put yourself in his shoes and think how you would answer it. First time you would certainly be polite and respectful blah blah blah. And then the next year, the year after, and the year after....

:)

"Don't talk to me when they're in my neighborhood, talk to me when they're moving in next door...bla, bla, bla".

I heard the clip on WEEI - my thought was "he's right"

But of course its just the fans who are getting excited - the team's taking it one day at a time

But yes - with 7 games left in the regular season and another 3 in the playoffs, we're not in his neighborhood yet...

I just look forward to taking him literally about him showing up with a tuxedo when we "join" the Dolphins!

wait...MM is out of jail good for him!

Agree.

And the just hearing the name Mercury Morris - his name sounds right out of a hollywood script - bring back bad memories to old time Pats fans. Back in the early 70s, our defense was slow and Mercury was fast - very fast.

He'd kill us twice a year.

BTW, note the description on the side of the Youtube:

"They get some work, they get paid, they move on!"

So maybe the only Patriot Mercury Morris respects is Asante Samuel? :)

Deus and I keep agreeing on stuff. It's eerie.
