"Lighten up Francis." :D

1. My name isn't Francis.

2. I won't lighten up. I had a very good friend that had a stroke at a young age, so I don't find humor in joking about strokes.

Everyone knows someone who died of cancer, had a kid who was hit by a car, lost parents, friends loved ones too early. I'm sorry for your friend, but obviously the stroke didn't affect Bruschi all that much.

"Lighten up" was a suggestion and I definitely think I should reiterate it to you.

Kudos to the Bills fans for expressing a sense of humor. Football fandom is supposed to be fun. In all the bunker mentality we've assumed under mass media duress, we don't want to lose the ability to make fun of our own fanhood.

They're not making fun of him having a stroke, they're making fun of how overboard everyone went about his "heroic recovery" and how everyone in NE lionized him and turned him into this mythical William Wallace figure and it's actually pretty funny so please don't be that guy;)

That's some pretty funny stuff there.

before gen 1:1, tedi created god.

Not every post is funny (some are just stupid), but a great idea for a thread, and some genuinely funny posts in it.

Hilarious!!

Yes, this is a Chuck Norris takeoff, but great nonetheless.

Wasn't there a thread like this on a Broncos board or just before a Broncos game?

It's a shame there isn't a thread like this on the Pats message board. All the talk about Tedy is "he lost a step" this and "isn't a starter anymore" that...how about a thread about how Tedy Bruschi is a great Patriot because he was THE defensive leader for 2 championship seasons, or how the guy had a stroke after the pro bowl and was playing football IN OCTOBER!

I like Bills fans so much more than Colts fans.. They "get it".

Bruschi was actually a friend of William Wallace. In the scene in Braveheart where William Wallace cuts the guys head off during battle, if you watch closely, you'll see Teddy Bru successfully re-attaching the guys head...amazing!:D

tedy bruschi ; saves puppies by day, kills bills by night.

Speak for yourself.

The moon is actually a comet that was once on course to hit earth… then Tedy told it to be a team player and get into orbit.

Thought this pic from that thread was pretty funny :D

It's a must have in any standard household DVD collection, along with Animal House, Blues Brothers, SB 36 highlights, SB 38 highlights, and SB 39 highlights!!:D

Good list, but you forgot one - Caddyshack :rocker:

Good lord i cant understand the love for Caddyshack. Good movie? yes. A MUST in every DVD collection, not by a long shot.

This is hilarious.

Tedy wears a live rattlesnake as a condom
When Tedy Bruschi does a push-up, he doesn't lift himself up, he pushes the earth down.
many more....

Definitely enjoying the Bills fans sense of humor. I agree they're way better than Colts fans, all things considered.

But let's be honest with ourselves, guys. If we'd never seen him before and saw tedy bruschi walking down the street, we'd probably assume that when he was growing up, he took the short bus to school.

This all started back in '05 when Brew was coming back from the stroke (first game was home against the Bills), and the ESPN crew went completely overboard with the Bruschi love during the broadcast. Even as a Pats fan I thought their coverage was completely over the top... so I have no issue with this running joke.

I was in Santiago so I watched the broadcast in Spanish. The name Tedy Bruschi REALLY stands out when its the only thing you understand without trying to translate in your head. It was amazing.

It pretty much is a take off on the Chuck Norris jokes and pretty harmless.

Plus what the he11 else is there to do in Buffalo?
Watch it snow.
