The jets take on the Steelers in NY. This can be a double win for the Pats.

It would knock the Steelers three games behind us for home-field advantage IF we can get past the Bills. :scared:
Also, it would give the Jets two wins, meaning they would be tied with the Niners and Raiders with two wins.

We also have to root on the Rams this week, who play the 49ers in SF.

Jets, Rams and Minnesota (who play the Raiders) win, and our draft pick will move up to No. 2, since the 49ers have the easiest strength of schedule.

IF we can get past the Bills????

I, personally, would love to see the Steelers lose this one. Mostly because I'm a big fan of reading "Power Rankings," because the guys that make them tend to overreact to everything. Seeing the Dolts at #5 this week (where they may or may not belong) has me convinced that a Steelers loss would actually cause the computers of various Power Ranking authors to crash.

Are you serious?
First of all, the Steelers have no business losing to the Jets and I cannot see that happening. Gimme a break.

Second, I don't believe the Pats will go undefeated, but I also doubt anyone is going to challenge them for first place in the AFC. So you really don't have that to worry about IMO.

They had no business losing to the Cardinals or Broncos either.

The Steelers have definitely shown the ability to play down to their opponents, especially on the road as they are this week.

Did any of you actually see the Cards game? I think that was a trap game and it was STILL won on a BS re-punted TD. I'll grant you, our ST's have bitten us, but....

The Bronco's game was either a bad game plan or poor execution.

Those are still two games lost to inferior opponents, no matter how you slice it.

Even the '03 Patriots had a couple of mulligans to craptastic teams (the big difference is that the '03 Pats also went 10-0 against teams with ten or more wins).

Okay, if you were a betting man (no point spread) would you put your money on the Jets then?

So those aren't losses, then? Cool. You're 9-0 just like us!

*sigh* somewhere, a village is missing their idiot. If I had to guess I'd say you failed reading comprehension.

Anything can happen any week. And like was pointed out earlier in another thread, other than the Patriots game, the Jets have hung in with all their opponents. Since you guys suck so much on STs, who is to say that Leon Washington can't turn the game around on a kickoff or punt, he's only done it three times this year. The Steelers struggled at home this week to a team they normally dominate, so anything is possible.

On that note, Go Jets?

The L. Washington thing has been brought up. You'd have to believe that with the ST failure last week, it will be a focus all this week. The concern is, the Steelers are the only team in the NFL with two ST coaches working on stuff....so what's the problem? Too many Chefs in the kitchen? Tomlin is a stickler for it, but it remains to be seen. I'm confident though.

i dunno.. theres no way i see the jets beating the steelers.. jets just dont have the talent..

I think the Steelers win this game pretty easily. The Jets are awful.

If I don't watch the game I want the Jets to win. Another loss for the Steelers would be nice, and I'd really like NE to be picking before the Jets. If I watch the game I will be pulling for Pitt. I could never lower myself to root for the Jets.

Would LOVE to see the jets win this weekend.

That is called an excuse. The jets could give you plenty of examples of why they lost certain games. If this had gone this way , if we had executed that , if , if , if.

You lost. Bottom line.

Ah that narrows it down. So it was either the coaches fault or the players? Thanks for that insight!
