I was watching the SF-Seattle game and was impressed by the amount of noise that place created with a capacity less than our and yet 5 times the decibel level.

Is there any grassroots effort we can start to get people off there asses and make Gillette an opposing offenses nightmare?

Yeah, tell them to stop selling Chardonnay at the games. Get back to basics: hot dogs and beer.

I can't figure out why Kraft just doesn't use the PA system.

Those red seats suck. However.....there are 60,000 hot dog eaters........what are they doing?

Stadium design also has something to do with it.

Because if you amplify the crowd noise.....all you'll hear is folks talking about whether we'll bet Arod or not.

Actually I think the level has been good this year. Usually I'm there getting pissed at people to yell but it seems like this year is good. I think it will only build as the playoffs approach (though the Miami game could be a quiet one just because of 1)it may not mean a thing 2)I find that more "pink hats" to use a baseball term go to Miami more than any other game.)

That's a copout. I've heard that place explode with 45,000 people sitting on snowmounds.

Jets game should be pretty loud.

(Well, for the first quarter at least.)

Don't blame the red seats. Several of us have uped our post count by posting 400 times that people in our sections don't make much noise. Too many corporate seats throughout the stadium.

Plus, the stadium is perversely designed such that the 300 section noise goes up and out and the open ends do not reflect any acoustic waves. Gillette as it is built will never by very loud. Even if the effete yuppie scum put down their quiche long enough to make any noise.

First off I'm not saying Patriot fans are as loud as they could be. But YES stadium design does matter.

The crowd at the Cleveland game was so subdued.....you could hear every word in every cheer the cheerleaders were doing across the TV.

So we should try to compensate for that. Get paper or plastic bullhorns for everybody.

We need....................a roof.

Exactly. :(

Unfortunately the "Have's" arnt always as passionate as the "Have Not's".

It's like that guy who sits right behind home plate for every Sox home game. (You know the dude. He sits to the right of the ump). The guy has the best damn seats in the house, yet you never see him crack a smile, let alone "clap". :snob:

Well unless we pipe in crowd noise through our PA like they do at the RCA dome, we're not going to get those kinds of results. Frankly I'd rather not stoop to Polian's level.

How many people are on the waiting list? Ticket prices are insanely high as it is. IMO, they need to expand the stadium. I suggest filling in the tower end zone. No other modern NFL stadium has a big hole in its side the way Gillette currently does.

Put seats in the part highlighted, and bump the capacity a few thousand...

I live in Seattle and was at the game this past Monday. The stadium was built with the intention of being the loudest stadium. The way the sound reflects back to the field is amazing. I was at the Hawks/Giants game right after Seattle was accused of pumping sound in and I have never heard crowd that loud. The look on Eli's face was priceless. His eyes were the size of frisbees and he looked scared and confused. As previous posters have pointed out the razor is not designed for it. Then again I would take a quality team over a loud stadium.

Maybe we could put little buzzers in everybody's seats and give them a few volts to get a rise out of them. I was thinking the same thing watching Seattle Monday. It was ridiculously loud. Considering they were facing a crappy team(Fortunately, a team who we have their top pick). Philly at night after not having a home game for a month should be very loud. If not, I will be disappointed. Then, the Pitt 4p start should be loud too. Razor appears loud during the playoffs. But, I think we are spoiled.

I wonder if Kraft regrets not designing the stadium to be louder.

Maybe one solution is to lock the doors of the Fidelity club.
