Chris Hanson... probowler?

Hmmm. Don't you have to have a minimum number of touches to make the Pro Bowl? :D

He's been looking really good the last few games. Knock wood.

Just goes to show that the fans don't know anything.

"I'm with Dateline NBC. We're doing a show about internet predators."

Everytime I see the guy's name, that's all I can think of...

Fan votes tend to mean not a whole heck of a lot sometimes. I know it is a third of the vote, but many times the run away winner by the fans never gets in. I remember a few years back that Patrick Pass won the FB fan vote and didn't even get in as an alternate.

Hanson is probably getting a lot of votes because that is a position that many fans don't know the punters and who is good or not and since Hanson plays for the Pats they vote for him think he must be good.

1.) He doesn't even qualify for the Punt average leaders. You need 2.5 punts/G to qualify. He has 2.3

2.) If he did qualify, he be LAST in the AFC in punt average.

3.) He's WAY better than Ken Walter.

4.) Please, if you're going to vote for the Probowl, don't vote for Hanson. Vote for Lechler, he deserves it.

I don't know if I'd send him to the Pro Bowl, but he's been very good this year. We all jumped on him in the first couple games of the season, but (if you believe BB) he was kicking away from returners. There is only a 1.1 yard difference between his average and net, that's really good. Situational football is the motto of this team, and Hanson has done that.

Hanson hasn't been "very good". He's been very consistent, which is acceptable for a punter. Lechler, Scifres and Moorman are very good.

I'm surprised by Welker as a kick returner too, he's been good on punts but he isn't even the best kick returner on his own team. Larry Izzo doesn't exactly surprise me but my vote for a special teamer would be Willie Andrews if it was allowed.

How funny is it that Manning is leading Brady in the QB vote. I guess people like 6INT games.

He leads the voting for punters? He has a popular name, but his punting is nothing shake a stick at. If he makes the pro bowl he could be a bigger steal than Moss

Chalk this up to fans who vote for the team rather than the person... No offense to Hanson but he's not that good.

Heck, the way this team's been playing BB might even decide to leave him on the inactive list come gameday!

Check out Welker's punt return averages. He has actually been very good this year.

There is no way Brady should be BEHIND Peyton Manning in the pro bowl voting when you see the stats Brady is putting up.
If Brady doesn't win MVP, that will make a total joke out of the selection process.

Time to stuff the ballot box guys - http://www.nfl.com/probowl/ballot

Brian Moorman's been the Bills MVP for like the last 5 years. The guy's the best punter I've ever seen. It's a travesty if he doesn't make it.

Lechler's been better this year.

Code:
Name	Punts	Avg	Net	20	TB
Lechler	43	49.9	44.5	15	2
Morrman	44	43.5	39.0	16	3

Chris Hanson, Dan Sepulveda, and Scifres have had good years too. Very few returns for the number of times they've punted. Lechler and Moorman have comparatively more returns, but they're not outkicked coverage, as their net above shows. Sepulveda is the only one to have a kick returned for a touchdown. He's still doing tremendously for a rookie.

Who the h e l l is Chris Hanson?!?!?

I thought our punter was Rich Camarillo?

No Vrabel, Samuel, Mankins, Koppen? Hmm...Sure hope the other 2/3 realize that and vote them in. And yeah, Hanson is good, but shouldn't be in the Pro Bowl since he doesn't get enough action.
