I think that this would be such a great match up for the Bills. That special teams unit would give the colts nightmares. The Bills force a lot of turnovers also (as witnessed during Cowboys game).

The colt fans like to laugh about the AFC east, but I think that the Bills give their team a run for their money.

The colts would simply kick the ball out of bounds probably.

Are you serious?

Are you serious?

Umm, no.

Sorry mr. big bad colt sir.

Dude, they are strong where you are weak. I guess that is kinda hard for you to understand. But, ah, matchups are perty much game deciders and stuff.

Right?

Yeesh. They took the boys to the wire man.

Colts by a landslide.

Just because SD happened to pull off a remarkable upset doesn't mean that teams with similar stengths are going to do the same. Indy had to have one of the worst special teams games of all time and one of Manning's worst games just for SD to even have a shot.

The only reason they were in the Dallas game was all of Romo's turnovers

Like Owslek a game like the SD/Colts game is a fluke game not a regular habit. Even with the special team scores and turnovers the Colts nearly won. Buffalo's defense is not better than San Diego's defense. Do you think that Buffalo's special teams can keep up with the Colts offense, even if it is banged up?

I'm not sure about that. SD's defense isn't nearly as good as they were last year and Buffalo's is actually halfway decent despite the injuries.

I still don't think they have a chance, but I just wanted to point that out.

Sorry but this isnt even a competition, the Colts should destroy the Bills. The Bills have a terrible QB regardless of who is behind center.

Well, the Dolts turned the ball over a couple times vs the Chargers. The Jills have played well this year and I think they can prevail. I'm not betting on that though ;)

I really don't think that they should keep up. It should be a convincing colts win. But I think that you seriously underestimate the Bill defense. They are a cohesive unit. They forced Romo to throw those Ints. (I know that this does not support your argument, but they deserve credit.)

I think that the colts sts are very suspect. I actually think that this is where we can see the issues with their team building. The colts have a lot of very fast athletes. Even the players with lesser roles are smaller bodied guys. There are just so many roster spots, and these smaller guys must play st right? Well, this is why the sts are not as strong. They get crunched.

We won't find out because the Bills are not going to make the playoffs. But, it would be an interesting game.

By the way, not if the colts were healthy. This argument is about the present colts. Shoeble is a huge force off the end. I'm telling you man, the colts would not like this game.

And ah, Rivers is a world beater?

The thing is, it wouldn't be a cake walk now. The bills are strong where the colts are weak.

That may be part of it, but the injuries have something to do with it too. Guys that were special teamers are now playing major roles, if not starting. That moves guys into special teams roles that weren't previously, so you make shakey STs worse.

The Bills may be better on special teams, but the Colts are better on both offense and defense.

This is not the first year that they colts have been suspect.

And, you guys really don't admit that it would be a heck of a lot better if you had a kicker that pounded the ball. I mean, that is a pretty important thing man.

I do think that the injuries have exaserbated the situation.

Tell me something, because I really don't know what the focus is. Does Polian search out st players? I would imagine that you know that bill does this - you hang here so you must read a lot about the pats. BB places high priority on st'ers.

A lot of colt fans from the indy board want the head of the st coach on a stick. I have a feeling that it isn't his fault. That the issue is more about a focus on a blazing offense, speed persuit defense (the freeney loss is huge), and st'ers that are made up of players that will be able to step into o and d when needed. (and of course all teams work this way, but with some teams the player is actually hired because they are great st'ers.)

Polian has gotten some players primarily to work on special teams, but when guys are moved around due to injury STs is really effected since you really don't practice STs once the season starts. Teams may run through coverage schemes, but they don't go full speed and contact due to injury risks.

You can count me in on the side that feels there needs to be a change with ST coaching. Even when heathly and with the guys they want on special teams, the Colts have been lacking on coverage for years. Remember the kick return at the end of the half in the 2002 Colts/Pats game? Teams score against the Colts special teams much more than the Colts score on special teams. Some sort of shake up is needed.

Edit:

One thing I forgot is a lot of the the guys on the Colts STs are the young guys that they have drafted to fill roles in a year or two or three. Just FYI.
