I gotta go with roethlisberger for my number 3 over derek anderson.

Re: afc pro bowl qb's

At what point does Manning get the '06 Tom Brady treatment?

Re: afc pro bowl qb's

Roethlisberger is the clear #2 above Manning. Even the pro bowl voters won't screw that up.

If Manning has another few games like this, you might have to put Anderson in above him.

Re: afc pro bowl qb's

I really hope that Tom delivers another eff-u to this farcical exhibition game
due to his 'shoulder injury.'

I'd put Manning 5th right now behind Brady, Ben, Palmer, and Anderson.

Never. He'll get in on name and hype alone.

Re: afc pro bowl qb's

Anyone else think Vince will get in?

Not that I think he deserves it.

No, not unless someone elects not to go and even then Palmer and Anderson (assuming that theres no way the NFL let's Manning not be on the team) deserve it over Young.

Re: afc pro bowl qb's

Brady, Rothlisberger and Manning are clearly the choices IMO.

I would put Manning behind Anderson based on my "Won more games by his mere presence meter" which has been significantly calibrated by last year's exclusion of Brady from the Pro Bowl.

Re: afc pro bowl qb's

Carson Palmer? Please tell me you're joking.

Well, his season numbers are better than Manning's. And he plays for a worse team.

So based on production alone he should get the same treatment as Manning as of now.

He does play for a worse team, and he's part of the reason. I just think he is overrated.

Re: afc pro bowl qb's

Brady is a lock at starter. Anderson should be a lock to make the team, for the Cleveland offense rides on his shoulders and he has produced big-time. I would pick Roethlisberger over Manning, but don't really care either way. Palmer is definitely on the outside looking in, IMO. Nobody else deserves consideration.

It should be noted that if these guys are more or less considered the top QBs in the AFC, the Pats will have played all of them by the time the season is through. If they beat Pittsburgh for the QB sweep, that's pretty damn good. Let's not forget they've beaten a sure NFC Pro Bowl QB in Romo as well.

Regards,
Chris

Re: afc pro bowl qb's

I'm voting for Philip Rivers, he's the coming man, marshalling all that talent and winning games for San Diego... oh wait...

Re: afc pro bowl qb's

I think it's nuts to not have Manning at #2. Put him on a team with pro bowl receivers and he blows Worthlessturder away. PM > BR

Well we see what Brady is capable of when you give him a Pro Bowl receiver. That didn't seem to influence voters in the past when he got snubbed.

His team defense is 31st overall and 30th in points allowed per game. He's hardly one of the main reasons the Bengals are sucking and his numbers are better than Manning.

Plus.. it's fun.

Voter's percaption can be different from facts, but I don't think that is the case here. While recent performances of PM and BR are fresh in our minds, I believe that having PM as the #2 gives the AFC the best chance of winning. It's not just about arms as Ben does have a good one, but Peyton's experience, his ability to read defenses and the respect he commands from team mates as a leader is miles ahead of Ben.

I don't think so. Right now I would say tied for third. Palmer won't get voted in because the Bengals are just awful.
