"We knew in that huddle, that we'd be able to apply the kind of pressure that had never been seen before"

"...I STILL get shivers!"

"...Daddy, we're world champions...it was a special moment"

"...We did it! We did it!"

I wrote all that straight off memory! That just tells you how much NFL network overplays that stinking commercial.

Anyone else sick of it?

Yeah I was tired of it in preseason.

But in a few years when they add :

"As soon as the NFL took away that draft choice we knew we wouldn't lose a game that season"

then I'll like it better :D

Yup. Those Squealers sure are a teary bunch aren't they.

I used to be sick of it...

...until the NFL Network started to cost $7.95 a MONTH!

Now I get my fix from NFL.com.

which squealers are you referring to...I don't get it?

In that ad, Cowher actually has tears in his eyes when he says
"...Daddy, we're world champions...it was a special moment"

Not long ago, Hines Ward was crying when they lost their second AFC Title game to the Pats.

I will flip to another channel when that comes on. It's like nails on a chalk board...

Thank God for the "mute" button on the remote. I use it every time that promo comes on - - - which seems to be about every @#$%& three minutes!?!?

Tivo has given me the freedom to never watch commercials. While some are funny, too many are annoying, loud, and a waste of time.

I seldom watch things live. Life's too short to watch commercials.

Come on, are you saying that watching Cowher's chin quiver while he utters those emotional words doesn't send chills down your spine, even after seeing it over 500 times?

It looks like Cowher's chin is trying to escape.

BINGO!! THANK YOU!!

I do the same thing. Sometimes I can't grab the remote quick enough and I feel like just blocking my ears!

As soon as I hear the drums, I grab the remote!

Even reading your description of it bothered me! :D

Yes,it drives me nuts,I turn the channel every time it comes on....

Then you probably missed the latest Priceless Pep Talk . . .

Your not playing well? Throwing interceptions? Getting sacked? Here is my advice: It not your fault! Just be sure to blame the people around you, and you will make yourself look better! Don't say "I need to move better in the pocket." Say "The O line needs to give me better protection." Don't say "I need to throw more accurately." Say "The receivers need to get into position." Don't say "I need to make better adjustments at the line," Say "The coach needs to call better plays." Don't say "I couldn't manage the clock," Say "The coach shouldn't have called a meaningless timeout, taking one away from me that I could have used."

Using these statements can preserve your identity as a superstar with a laser-rocket arm, at least in your own mind.

Another Priceless Pep talk from Peyton Manning

LOL, I do really like the music in that commercial, but I must do my Bill Cowher chin imitation at least once a day. It always cracks my husband up.

Also, Joe Namath flashing those frightening veneers. Scary!

It's a really amazing series and NFL Net should be proud of it, and I realize they don't have a great deal of programing to promote, but they've been running that spot in every single commercial break for almost 2 years now.

Just to put it in perspective, I estimate that promo has run roughly 100 times more than the John Mellencamp truck ads.

OMG!! The Joe Namath one is just as BAD! Really!! I can handle the audio of that commerical, but I can't stand to look at his face/expression :bricks:

I would hate it a lot more if Manning was on it

Same here. As soon as I hear that drum, I flip that channel!:(
