When are the opponents determined for the next season? I hope that Moss is still a Patriot next year, and I hope that there is a Patriots vs. Vikings game! That could be hilarious. He has said that he loves the fans, but "to hell with the organization".

Years in advance. We don't play the Vikings next season. We play both the AFC and NFC west.

How about a Raiders game?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would love to see that!

FYI -- One of the Patriots' road games next season is in Oakland...also Seattle, San Francisco and San Diego...

That's a brutal schedule (especially for us sportswriters! :D )

Not when you live in San Francisco.

Plus the #1 team in the other AFC divisions, most likely, Indy and Pittsburgh. So what else is new.

The formula they now use makes it so except for the 2 throwin/extra games you can say who the Patriots will play in 2050 -:)

14 of the 16 games for all teams schedules have been predetermined indefinitely into the future, so long as the current divisional alignment exists.

The remaining two games are against the teams in the same positions in their divisions in the same conference that they don't already play round-robin. In other words, the Pats play round-robin vs the West next season, so presuming they finish first, they will play the first place teams in the North and South in addition to the pre-scheduled 14.

Presuming there's no expansion or any divisional realignments.

Could be worse,, Buffalo, Cleveland and Detroit.....in December
In all seriousness, I wonder what the odds are of two of the four west coast games being on consecutive weeks and if so, whether the team would simply stay out there versus two extra cross country trips......

Oh okay, those 2 throw-in games aren't exactly fair, but I like that the Pats will play the Colts every year. I can't wait until the Raiders game!

Here is our schedule for next year and Yes we play at the Raiders. Should be a fun game assuming Moss is still a Pat!
