I am, a little. Teams off a bye can be a little rusty, the Bills are playing with enthusiasm and confidence, and that's a good home crowd advantage. I HATE that they have to play at night, by the way--to me, football is Sunday at 1:00. Having said that, I'm confident of a Pats win........but I'm just a little nervous. Anybody else?

I'm the tiniest bit nervous, but there's no way they beat us. The Patriots are so much better than other teams that they are, in my view, "trap game proof." Even if they look crappy for a HALF, they'll still come back and win.

I was a little. Then I saw Vegas opened the line at our standard 14.5 and I felt better. :)

The Bills just BARELY beat Miami, 13-10, after trailing most of the game. Granted, they'll be home Sunday night, and every game is different, but when the Pats went to Miami they put could EASILY have put up 80 points.

You can look at the bye one of two ways. You can teams coming off a bye may be a little rusty, or you can say teams coming off a bye are fresh. The bye couldn't have come at a better time for the Pats. BB also has an excellent record coming off the bye.

No..The Bills beat the winless Dolphins by a field goal in the last minute. And the Bills only scored 13 points...

Not really. Was good to hear Brady on WEEI this morning. He sounded very refreshed and ready to go. Said he did some Baby John diaper changing over the past week. Interestingly Tom said he'd gotten a lot of calls from teammates over the past couple of days complaining how they were BORED and wanted to get back at it. :singing:
These guys just love to play and it shows. They'll be ready Sunday night.

If it's a windy night, it could dampen the scoring and then anything can happen. I think it will be lower scoring anyway.

J.P. Losman

These are the only two words we need to explain why the Pats will win. I have never seen JP play well against the Pats. AND he might be without his only good offensive player, Marshawn Lynch (who even if he plays will be hobbled). Pats should win pretty easily.

Focus on stopping Lynch, double Evans and single everyone else. Buffalo won't move the ball. If JP Losman can beat the Pats by throwing to Josh Reed and others, more power to him. Good luck with that.

CB Jabari Greer (#33) looks pretty good each time I see him. Even in the first Pats game when Moss beat him for two TDs, he was in position to knock the first one away, but just missed and Moss made a very underrated catch. On the TD bomb, Brady threw a perfect ball that only the speedy Moss was going to get to. Greer made a last-moment leap that was admirable considering how perfect the ball was thrown. If the ball was slightly underthrown, Greer knocks it away.

Regards,
Chris

I'm not worried, but don't think of the Bills as a bunch of pushovers anymore. At home the Bill are a tuff team, and we saw that when Dallas went there. We all know the Pats and they don't go into any games thinking anything is going to be easy. BB will have the team ready, especially that he had 2 weeks to watch tape.

Why are you worried about being rusty? Rest is good for a team particularly if it comes after a huge win on a hot team and they are going against hungry team with something to prove, just ask the Colorado Rockies.

Bill have the second long active winning streak in the NFL at 4 games.

Bills are 9-0 at home on Sunday nights.

Over the last 10 years, NE is 4-6 coming off their bye week.

About the Fish game. There defense was outstanding. The Bills offense was crap for 3 quarters if they play the Pats for 4 quarters the way they played in the 4th, they will give the Pats a real good game.

But we should still win.

I'm worried about them and everybody else.

Mr. letdown is lurking and ready to pounce.

Plus the Bills are a good young team, they made the right moves dropping expensive players. Great STs.

You always have to take these intradivision games. You also have to respect any team in this league that wins 4 in a row. Plus, Buffalo is at home. I am not nervous, but I'm not counting this as a gimme, like I will when we play the Jets.

Are you Bills fan?
There is a thread on Bills board about Pats' record after bye week being 4-6.
That's wrong. 4-6 is against the spread. Pat's record after bye wk under BB is 5-2. And that includes the rebuilding yr 2000. Before that, it was Pete Carroll and Bledsoe. If you are a Pats fan, you should know better than that.

NE 28 @ BUF 6 2006 W
BUF 16 @ NE 21 2005 W

NE 46 @ BAL 38 1996 W
NE 17 @ ATL 30 1995 L
MIA 23 @ NE 3 1994 L

Reasons NOT to worry:

-NE still has Tom Brady
-Tony Romo threw 5 INTs against Buffalo, and the Bills still lost.
-NE's coming off a week of rest.
-The Pats have won 8 straight against Buffalo.
-Jim Kelly predicted a Buffalo upset.
-The boys were on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Again. (OK, that has nothing to do with nothing, just thought Id point that out).
-Randy Moss is an animal in prime time games.
-NE still has Tom Brady.

Not to be overconfident, but noise or no noise. Snow or no snow. Wind or no wind. This game wont be close. The Pats had their dogfight last week. This week, its back to blowouts as usual.

I don't even care if we lose a game. At least the media will MAYBE stop talking about us for a few weeks. What I AM, worried about, is when or if we do lose, all of the trolls that will come in here. I don't even know if I'll get on this site for at least a week if we lose.

NE beat this same team by 31 in week 3. Buffalo's four game win streak consists of victories over BAL (horrible), NYJ (awful), CIN (terrible), and MIA (worst team ever?).

Besides, even if a miracle happens and Buffalo has a lead late NE can always just score 10 points in the final 30 seconds.

That's wrong. 4-6 is against the spread. Pat's record after bye wk under BB is 5-2.

Thank you. That didn't pass the smell test and you saved me from having to look it up.
