I was just reviewing some QB stats on ESPN and find this absolutely amazing.

Tom Brady
33TDs - 4 INTs

Manning Brothers (combined)
30TDs - 21 INTs*

Peyton
16TDs - 10 INTs*
Eli
14TDs - 11 INTs*

Tommyboy has 3 more TDs and 17 fewer INTs.

Now, don't get me wrong .... Peyton is a great QB and I don't bring this up to take anything away from him.

This exercise was purely to show just what an amazing season good ole #12 is having.

Definitely a special season so far. But it will all be for nothing is they don't win the Lombardi.

I love this team!

Peyton is barely better than Eli this season.
With *only* Wayne and Addai, he throws 6 INT's!! It's just too funny. He's a Hall of Famer, a great QB, but he's just a better version of Drew Bledsoe, he can't function without an all star cast at every offensive position.

Exactly... he's a smarter, better version of Bledsoe. I used to think Peyton Manning was the next Dan Marino... Now I think Marino might have been better. He could carry a team... not sure Peyton can.

Come on, you're judging the guy on one game or part of one season?

He has the same problem Tom had last year before Caldwell and Gaffney got acclimated. His receivers were off their routes last night. Tom Brady said that. Go argue with him.

Frontseven, here's another one. Let's judge them on their lifetime post-season performances then, eh?

Peyton Manning's lifetime postseason statistics:
18 TD's, 15 Interceptions.
The guy is great when it doesn't matter. With great offensive talent surrounding him his whole career in crunch time, he folds. He is the A-Rod of football.

Tom Brady's lifetime postseason statistics:
20 TD's, 9 Interceptions. The guy is great in crunchtime, even with smurf or 3rd string receivers.

I was going to start a similar thread comparing Brady and P Manning.

His athletic supporters have always maintained Manning is better than Brady because of his statistical "dominance". When Manning finally won ONE Super Bowl (to Brady's three) they had all the ammo they needed to crown him best QB of all time.

It is well known that Manning has ALWAYS had elite receivers (Harrison, Wayne, etc.) whereas Brady's have been at best good (T. Brown, D. Branch) and at worst incredibly average (Caldwell, Gafney, ...) - and it is also well known that when Brady FINALLY got himself an elite receiver corps he is blowing away any stats Manning ever had, and when Manning finally has to play with the kind of receiving corps Brady has ALWAYS had (Wayne and a couple of no names) he throws 6 INTs.

But what surprise most people is that despite the much longer time that Manning had a top group of WR's, his career QB rating (94.2) is just a little better than Brady's (92.2) - and by the end of this year could well be lower.

All the more reason not to completely tear down Manning, as many have & continue to do here.

It's kind of ridiculous that the guy has one bad game, and all of a sudden the debate is "settled." Frankly, if both QB's careers ended today, there wouldn't be much question. TB would be viewed as better than PM by history, but we're still probably talking about 2 top 10 QB's of all time.

I can't believe some of the stuff Pats fans are saying about Manning today.

I can't believe it hasn't been worse to be honest.

Indystar has shiat on Tom for years and especially this past year for the AFCC game and the pregnancy with Bridget. He get's slammed there for every comment he makes and suit he wears.

I like Manning, I really do, but if Brady threw 6 ints on a National Televised game they would be relentless in bashing Tom.

There are classy and knowledgeable Colts fans out there, but there are also a TON of rednecks and morons who are basically worse than pond scum, the ultimate trolls. They follow the attitude from up top, led by Bill 'crybaby whiner' Polian.
