Apparently they think they can beat you in the playoffs since they barely eeked out a 2 point win at San Diego against Indianapolis. That's what I've seen on the chargers message boards anyway.

I'm going to look for a thread just about this... but oh my freaking GOD, the Marvin Harrison Excuse Fest has grown to epic proportions!

I was just driving home and had ESPN radio (D.C. edition) on, and was trying to call in, for the first time EVER... holy crap.

One guy was arguing that maybe Dallas is better than Indy now... and Steven A. Smith was apoplectic at the prospect. He kept saying "That team with Marvin Harrison in..." "Peyton Manning does not have 6 picks if he doesn't just have Reggie Wayne to throw to..."

"JUST" Reggie Wayne???

The Pats won 3 Super Bowls wishing they "just" had Reggie Wayne.

I heard the same thing after that 1st and goal in 03 or 04, when they failed to run the ball in three times. "Our best goal line guy (Rhodes!) was out..."

The Colts' lack of depth is once again making itself known in a big way. It's the product of a multiple-superstar system at work for many years.

It's a tribute to the team that they have drafted so well in that time period. But the model has its flaws - the Colts build "shell" teams. One key player goes down, and their response to adversity is less than robust.

As for the Chargers: they finally got hot, but I agree with this thread: they squeeked one out against the Colts. If they see the Pats again, the only consolation is that there won't be a Bolts logo to dance on at the end.

(Although there are little yellow lightning bolt looking things coming off the weird razor-like emblem seen at gillette... maybe those would do.)

Did anyone read Silver's mailbag? There's a few e-mails from Pats fans ragging on their own fan base. What's the story here, because I'm lost.

If you went over to their board and read a few threads you would think Antonio Cro. was the best corner in the NFL. The verbal BJ they are giving him goes a little overboard, esspecially when one poster compares him to neon Deion. They think that interceptions are the only way to show a corners compitence on the field. Granted he looked very good last night, but calling him an "all pro" as numerous posters over their have just shows their vast football knowledge.

That was a sick play, but if Manning gets that pass to the sideline instead of throwing a duck (more so than usual for him), Wayne catches it and is gone. Cro was beat.
