An enjoyable and refreshingly positive read, thanks!

On Moss:
------
"But is there something special about Moss that he didn't know before the trade, when the Patriots expended a measly fourth-round pick? "He's very smart," said Belichick. "He knows how to read defenses. He's very good at route adjustments. We have also played him at every position, inside the slot, outside. We don't have him doing fly-patterns all game. He's a complete receiver. Basically, he's a football player," said Belichick. "He's tough. You look at his numbers, about 1,000 yards (924) in a half-season. That pretty much says it all."

On Brady:
-------
"He's won before in this league," said Belichick. "He's got a few very good players to throw to. Obviously, he and Randy work well together. But he isn't really doing anything different. To me, he's the same guy."

I still think Moss is not the same receiver while going over the middle.

Maybe Jackson can develop into that fearless over the middle type receiver in the years to come.

It was ok, but where was the part about him eating babies and torturing fuzzy bunnies?

Seriously, the Colts game destroys your perception. Randy went over the middle a whole bunch, caught a bunch of balls, including an all-time highlight reel type catch, often while adjusting to balls that weren't right on the money because of how hurried Brady was. Is he the best at going across the middle? Probably not, but he's just fine at it, and can still be spectacular doing it.

Great read, thanks. I hope someone is going to write a book about this season. I love the off the field stuff.

Well, no one likes getting hammered. But remember THE CATCH (the one-handed one over the middle against the Colts). There were two Colts defenders (Sanders being one) within five yards. He knew he was about to get creamed, and he still made the play. Gets my full admiration!
