Anyone else see the FOX pre-game show?? Terry Bradshaw now says he's openly rooting for the Patriots to go undefeated this year as a result of Don Shula's comments. He ripped Shula a new one and good. Loved his opening comment of disrespect for Shula, "is he still around??" The boys at Fox have had enough of the media agenda surrounding BB and the Patriots. Terry Bradshaw says BB didn't deserve all the Dungy handshake nonsense and how the media takes 20 pictures of the Dungy/Belichick handshake looking for that one photo to make BB look bad. And they showed the photo, BB walking away from Dungy as they were shaking hands. Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer poked fun at the handshake nonsense and how they wanted no part of happy chat with opposing coaches after a game. Howie Long wants to know what exactly people want from BB, for him "to go on Oprah and cry"?? It's weird but the NFC network in Fox is much more fair to the Patriots than the AFC network CBS is. And forget about ESPN. They're all clown TV.

That's why I love FOX {and FOX news}............... Keeping it real homey :rocker:

So Bradshaw will be rooting for the Pats to beat the Steelers? interesting.

Love it! For once I'm all behind Fox!!

bradshaw, now thats one.... eventually before the season end every analyst on every broadcast network will root for us...

like in a good action-packed, thrilling, plot-twisting movie, in the end everybody will realize the perceived bad guys are actually the real good guys. and as we all know the 'real' good guys triumph in the end...

So what you're basically saying is that the Pats are the Spider-Man of the NFL?

Howie Long wants to know what exactly people want from BB, for him "to go on Oprah and cry"??

That's exactly what the media wants. Especially the New York media, which is largely responsible for this story being as big as it is. They want BB to open a vein in front of them. They want him to kneel before them and submit to their finger waving and moralizing glances.

Have no fear, though, the coach is firmly anti-establishment and won't sell out. He refuses to join the coach's union and he won't submit to the media's repeated attempts to humiliate him.

i do not know dude... i think this movie is not yet made... but im talking to tarantino and robert rodriguez about this concept...:)

It's all about the ratings, networks have squeezed about as many rating points out of the evil Patriots and all the bad that they do - so, now, it is time to gain ratings by throwing bouquets our way.

All I know or care about is the fact that we are 9-0 looking to win 10 more!!

The new york media has their panties in a bunch because all their teams suck and the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics are kicking ass and taking names.

It's real interesting how this media bias against Belichick parallels the media bias against the Republican party.

The amusing part is that all the people in New England who are generally liberal and who generally don't have a problem with the pro-liberal media bias is seeing how the media truly inserts itself into the process and distorts the news in pursuit of its own agenda.

And interesting enough, in both cases FOX seems to be the network that cuts through the distortion and bias.

Wow I can't even believe I live in a world where people choose to watch Fox News. I know that one day we will all be watching Fox News, but I always assumed it would be once we became a full blown police state.

How about we keep this crap off the main boards?

(This thread needs to be moved to the political forum)

When was the last time Fox News presented knowingly false documents like Dan Rather did...? And why is it the people most likely to whine about Fox News' biases are least likely to admit the biases on CBSMSNBCTimeNewsweekCNNetc...?

(OK, that should do it)

Why should they move it, it's Pats related better question is why don't you keep our political crap off this board it ain't that hard.

i think it is pretty easy to see why FOX supports the Pats and BB...Jimmy Johnson is a close friend of BB and Terry & Howie are former no nonsense football players. They know what goes on and they appriciate what they are getting from the Pats.

Howie's really the interesting viewpoint.
He has no love lost for the Patriots.

Can we agree to leave politics out of this? This is a FOOTBALL forum. The anti-BB bias doesn't parallel anything in the mainstream media, because, here's a newsflash: EVERY news network is in it for the money, and the money is in catering to extremes. Every major news outlet in America sucks right now, so there's no point debating over and over who sucks more. If you think Bill O'Reilly or Ann Coulter doesn't manipulate the news to fit their own message, in straight Easterbrookian fashion, then you're deluding yourself. Don't get me wrong, the liberal media does too, but that's the point: everyone does it.

Spygate didn't teach me that the liberal media specifically manipulates the news. For one, I already knew that, but it rather reinforced the fact that all news outlets, liberal or conservative, report with an agenda. And, if anything, I see a lot of Easterbrook's insistence on classifying two complex, nuanced entities as Good and Evil in the Republican party.
