What a man...

Just wow! !

I swear I am gonna hit the next person that tells me the Patriots lack class.

Jarvis is proving to me more and more that he is a true man, both on and off the field. A really good human being, and I am so glad he's here through 09. As for Marquise, he might have been a bit player, but I know he's up there helping to guide our boys through this memorable season.

A very touching story.

Terrific story. Jarvis is a great player on the field, and from the sound of the article, just as great a person off it.

WOW. Brought a tear to my eye. That's really a man that can step up and help a friend who has passed away like that. It's so easy to say you'll be there, and so rare to actually follow through. I may have a new favorite Patriot.

Well put. The death of a young person leaves reverberations for a lifetime; the best way to honor someone's memory is to keep caring for the people they loved.

Great story. I'd put this on par with the Walls\Springs story where he gave his ex-teammate a kidney. Great to see stuff like this.

My thoughts exactly Pj.

From everything I've heard, this is completely in character for JG. He was among the most active NFL players after Katrina and obviously has very strong roots in his home town. Big man, big heart.

By the way, you may not know that JG has a web site: http://www.jarvisgreen.com/default.asp

Jeesh... Did they have to make me cry? I'm glad Green is helping out and stepping up, no child should have to be without his dad... Good man...

What a great human being.

Impressive people those Green's are. This world could use many more like them.

Thanks for posting.

WOW. This guy is the man.

I almost didn't even click this thread because I thought it was a duplicate topic related to football.

Jarvis, you are awesome.

Wow, I lost it there.

Wasn't Green the one that, in the appearance where he coined "Dark Side Defense" thread, made it clear that he was upset with how the team has been labeled? Makes more sense now; he's just a great, compassionate man, who is labeled as a villain by the majority of sports fans because they envy how good his team is.

:agree: I agree with every word you wrote.

Same goes for Vikes WR Troy Williamson donating the game check the Vikings wanted to withheld--but ultimately gave him--to charity.
