After the 1st week of the season...what are their sure wins? I can't see many...or any. With wishful thinking maybe 6 wins: Giants, Atlanta, St. Louis, Arizona, Tampa Bay and Cleveland.

Definate (as things stand now) losses: Pittsburgh, Seattle x2, Baltimore, New Orleans, Carolina, Minnesota, Cincinnati.

Easily they could end up 4-12.

their best chances for wins are tb and the browns

since we are bumping threads..here is my bump of my old thread..and oops forgot the 1st game on my previous thread...had arizona as a win...

In that old thread. That was PATRIOTSFANINPA. Not me who thinks SF will be in SB 09 Super Bowl.

Looking very good for a top 4 to 7 pick.
Bill and Scott, I'm BEGGIN' ya to TAKE AN INSIDE LINEBACKER!!
Got some impact ILB's in this draft that this team desperately needs next year and beyond.
Penn State's Conner or Ohio State's Laurinaitis would look REAL nice in blue and silver.

No way the use a pick that high. Everyone knows they will trade down to around the 15 range and maybe bag a round 1 next season and a 3rd or something.

SF could lose out easily. We could have the #1 over all with a little luck. (God, then we would have to cheer for Miami a few games...I feel so dirty)

I'm a little nervous about this week. Gore should be back and Seattle is without Alexander (admittedly he hasn't been very good) and likely Branch (if he plays he'll be limited).

I expect Seattle to win but this is a more winable game for SF than I'd like it to be.

That would be the ultimate justice!

They should beat st louis and carolina, maybe cinncinati. So that would leave them at 5-11 which is around the 10th pick and would be a prefect place to have a pick.

They're definitely winnable but I'm not sure they "should" beat anyone given that they're the lowest scoring team in the league, are tied for 24/25 in points allowed and Football Outsiders ranks them as the worst team in the league; and most of that was before the OL injuries and some was with Lawson. I actually like the Rams to beat them is Stephen Jackson is actually healthy; he makes a huge difference for the Rams who led the Browns 14-0 before Jackson got hurt then went on to lose when he went out.

My 49ers fan friend tells me that in 2 1/2 years as head coach, Mike Nolan's 49ers have NEVER beaten a team by more than 7 points. Which means there is really no team they should beat.

What 9 teams will have a worse record then 5-11?

definites: jets, dolphins, raiders, falcons, rams
potentials: eagles, vikings, bears, cardinals, cincinati

so I guess it's the 6-10th pick. The key games are vikings, cardinals, and bengals. If they lose to those teams there is the best chance to move ahead in the draft.

No.

The perfect place to have a pick would be #1.

They can always trade down to their preferred spot and pick up compensation in the forms of additional picks if they choose. But it would be quite an accomplishment to trade up and pick up draft picks too.
