Several times this year Brady has made a run to the sidelines. If I had the video equipment I would match up the old Tom and the current Tom and I'd bet he gets to the sideline faster now than he ever did.

I'm not calling him a scrambler ... that's just crazy...however my eyes are telling me Brady has become faster. He runs with longer strides than when he was younger. Then he had a much shorter step.

A really funny part of this ... imagine if Randy Moss has been helping Tom with his speed ... now that would make for a really cool story the media would really gag on.

If hes wearing those Calvin Klein underwear (plugging in my post today) I can see it making him faster.

I myself wore those once and ran the 40 in 3.5 secs :rocker:

fractional faster at best. if anything all the wr's are causing the back 7 to go further down the field opening up more space.

100% agree with u man! When TB scrambled for that first down in SB41.5 I swear I thought I was seeing Vince Young, cause he has those long strides (cause he is tall i guess). Well anyways either Harisson been sharing some HGH or Moss teaching TB some tricks but TB soon gonna have not only a golden arm but also 2golden legs!:D

Yup....

His 40 time went from 5.95 to a 5.85....

When he ran for that 19 yards in the above picture I was like WOWWW!!!

Never seen him run so fast. He was like cold maple syrup before ... now he's advanced to watered down ketchup.

I've never disagreed more with a premise.
Brady is NOT slow. Finished 1st or 2nd in the off-season NFL QB challenge agility run his 2nd year.
But Sunday's run looked like a slow motion train wreck to me. I'd a nailed his ass.

Let's be honest: if Brady wasn't on the field with a bunch of guys with great 40 times and was just some guy, everyone who knew him would be saying what a great athlete he is.

He looks relatively fast by normal person standards, but the NFL is full of freaks.

Why they haven't scheduled a race between Manning and Brady at a pro-bowl is beyond me. That would be funny as hell to watch.

I could beat him in a race.

Yes, we already know you're such a speedy wideout.

He ran a 5.4 in the combine. That's horrible. Lots of linemen run faster than that.

Faster or not, everytime he runs I about crap myself. He really isn't THAT slow, it's just that his strides are so long that it looks like he's going in slow motion while everyone around him is full-speed. Everytime he scrambles I'm just waiting for someone to drop a shoulder under his chin as he slides too late because his last step took roughly 9 seconds :(

He's not faster, but he's quicker to commit to running.

Even a small (0.1 seconds) difference in start time, can make a big difference in terminal speed.

With all these defenders covering receivers down field, Brady has to make sure that they either contain him or suffer for it.

Well you guys are saying he ran no lower then a 5.0, I would hope a lot of people could beat that, that's slow as hell.

You could not beat middle school kids in a race. You're geting fat and lazy spending all your time on a PATRIOTS website. Sad.

Get off the computer.
Get a job at Burger King.
Pay off your bets.
