The Brady Vs Manning thing isn't fair at all.

The choking label is getting old, we won the SB last year and no choking by anybody but Brady and the Pats blowing an 18 point lead, Colts are done choking, and don't say Manning choked in our last game, it was just a simple regular season game, at least thats what I was always told the last two times the colts won in NE..

Sorry to spoil it for you, but despite last year's SB run, Manning and the Colts will STILL have the rep as big game chokers since they've done it more times than not.

Just like Colts fans like to keep telling us that the "cheaters" chant will forever follow the Patriots, the Colts and especially Manning will always have that "chokers" rep hanging over them.

Colts are done choking??? Right, let's just see how that little prediction works out for you come playoff time.

Oh, and it doesn't matter "what you were told" about regular season games, what's more important is "what you all said" following the last couple of regular season games when the Colts won.

All we heard was "Colts own the Pat's", "Manning is in Belichick's head now", "Brady is on the downside of his career".....on and on and on.

Face it....the Colts CHOKED last Sunday after leading by 10 points with 9 minutes to go. Manning coughed up the ball twice to kill their chances of winning that game.

Bring it on in Foxboro.....history is about to repeat itself and the Colts go home losers (and chokers) once again.

Sorry, Pats fans, you can't have it both ways. Either your team is head & shoulders above the Colts, OR they are equal, if Manning is supposed to be labeled a "choker" if he loses to them on THEIR homefield in the playoffs.

"Choking" is overused in this sport. Did Brady "choke" in the AFCCG last season? I don't see it that way. I also see a QB on the other team who had more baggage being down 3 TD's in that game than most of us could ever imagine, but still found a way to lead his team to a win.

You've gotta let this "choker" thing go. It's a lazy argument...

I'm new here and I know that all of you here like Brady more and I do too. Still, I was arguing with some friends who are Manning lovers, I felt bad. I hated having to crush these guys, but it is one sided. Look at the playoff record, Brady 12 and 2, Manning 7 and 6. Brady is beating him head to head 7 to 3. Brady has a better home record and a better road record. In a way I'm glad the Colts won it last year. I feel sorry for Manning, he'll never be as good Brady. He'll never win as many Superbowls. He'll never have a record as good as Brady's. That and "Peyton" is a girl's name. Poor Peyton Manning.
I posted a more detailed account of this on my blog:

http://rondavis.journalspace.com/

I hope you mentioned that Brady's played his entire college and pro career outdoors and/or in the cold, and Manning's played his entire college and pro career in a dome and/or warm weather.

A great stat that I remember reading on CHFF: Brady has a better career passer rating in domes than Manning, and he also has a better career passer rating in open stadiums. QB's are greatly aided by dome stadiums: perfect playing conditions every single game, which is part of the reason Manning has the historic numbers he does.

Digging up the column, Brady had a 103.5 career rating in domes, compared to Manning at 102.0. In outdoor stadiums, the numbers are 87.0 and 86.0 in favor of Brady. This was written before the start of 2007, where Brady is at 136.2 outdoors and 95.2 indoors (combined 131.8), while Manning is at 87.9 outdoors and 110.2 indoors (combined 100.8).

So even before this season, when Brady was throwing to inferior receivers, he STILL performed better, given the environment, than Manning. Now with some legitimate threats on the team we're seeing just how good--no, let me rephrase that: just how HISTORICALLY AMAZING--Brady is.

And this isn't to knock Manning, he's one of the 10 best quarterbacks to ever play the game. But add this to the playoff records and what we're now seeing Brady doing, and I don't think Manning is in Brady's class.

oh yeah mister know it all, you have no idea what will happen, the Colts could come into your house in January and win and you know it. The choking label is getting old, we won the SB last year and no choking by anybody but Brady and the Pats blowing an 18 point lead, Colts are done choking, and don't say Manning choked in our last game, it was just a simple regular season game, at least thats what I was always told the last two times the colts won in NE..

The choking of Manning has only reached the half way point.

The Dolts will never again steal a superbowl from us. We had a short week and flew from CA to MA to Indy, with the flu. You pumped in heat and crowd noise and the refs cheated for their bullymaster. You faced our back-up defense.

Ain't gonna happen again.

I was just thinking... For Tom Brady to suck as hard as Peyton manning, he would have to lose in the opening round of the playoffs for ten straight years to get to a .500 record. See, Manning is one game over .500 right now in the playoffs. Brady is ten games OVER .500. See what I'm getting at? Manning sucks ass.

But he looks good in the regular season, huh?

Manning is the A-Rod of the NFL. Great when it don't matter.

I hope you mentioned that Brady's played his entire college and pro career outdoors and/or in the cold, and Manning's played his entire college and pro career in a dome and/or warm weather.

LOL I wasn't aware that Tennessee had a Domed stadium, sorry Manning played his college career outdoors..

Nice try, Ootball, but it's not going to work.

Perhaps you didn't visit this board or some of your own Colts boards after the AFCCG last year. "Brady CHOKES" was prominent for weeks following that game since he threw a pick at the end of it, followed by "The Colts are BETTER". So, which was it....did Brady and the Pats choke away the 18 point lead or did Manning and the Colts show they were the better team by coming back to win?

Seems that your fellow Colts fans wanted it both ways last year.

And please spare us the "lazy argument" comment. Colts fans have been coming out of the woodwork and using "spygate" as the excuse for why the Colts lost all those games against the Patriots.

So, face it...."chokers" will be following your team around every time they lose a big game, regardless of the circumstances. Just like you'll come here and toss out "cheaters" whenever the Pats win a big one.

Hey indycolts685, before last year's post season, Manning had a losing record in the playoffs. He was a loser. That is a fact. A fact. He is now one game over 500. Brady is 10 wins and 2 losses in the post season. Brady 10 games over. Manning 1 game over. See the difference? Deal with it.

keyword here is BEFORE last season..deal with it..

sorry Manning played his college career outdoors..

Yeah, that's what I said: "He's played his entire college and pro career in a dome and/or in warm weather."

Reading is fundamental!

Right...
You just go look through the history books.
Find me the last dome team to win a league championship playing outdoors.
Take your time and don't hurry back. It may take you a while.

what has happened in the past has nothing to do with now, new things are happening all the time, the Rams were the first dome team to win a superbowl, the Colts were the 2nd, and we can be the first to win a championship playing outdoors, seriously the playing outdoors part is way overrated, but if you want to go ahead and keep believing that, thats fine..

QUOTE]

Any fan who wrote "Brady chokes" or implied that he is a choker is pretty dumb.

If you want to match that level of thinking, have at it.

I already wrote my feelings on the topic. I did not see last year's game as a choke by Brady in any way imaginable.

Another sad thing for the dolt fans to face, Manning is a year older than Brady. It's not like he can hang out and wait for Brady to retire so he can win again. Manning is screwed. You know what? I like Peyton Manning! He and I have alot in common! We'll both watch the Superbowl on TV.

That would be hard for Manning to watch the Superbowl on TV when he played in it last year. I guess you might have been thinking of Brady watching it on TV last year..thats ok its easy to get them both confused, they are the two best QB's in the league..

You guys are not giving the Pats much credit then if your going to continue to say that the Colts choked there last game, I mean if you think about it what your saying is that the Colts should have won easily

The choking of Manning has only reached the half way point.

Ref, extra heat, the refs cheated, pumped in noise, do you have any other excuses to add to you list? The Pats lost, get over it and quit making excuses..it really makes you look bad..I haven't made any about the last game, we lost, no excuses.

Yeah, that's what I said: "He's played his entire college and pro career in a dome and/or in warm weather."

Reading is fundamental!

I wasn't aware they moved the state of Tennessee to Florida where its warm year round, Tenn has cold snowing winters to.

Reading is fundamental!

hey, we won...we don't have any excuses for it either
