You know how this is a BS explaination? Pereira says that the PI clearly occurs on the Pats 9 yard line, but the refs said it happened on the Pats' six yard line. If you look what is going on at the 6 yard line, Wayne is pulling down Hobb's arm. It seems pretty clear to me that Pereira tried to find anything to make this call sound correct.

I watched the same thing myself on the Network last night and I almost puked all of the TV. That was one of the worst calls I've ever seen, I've watched alot of football. There is no justifying how bad that call was. It's been talked about all over the country and here's Mr. Pereira doing the best he can to stick up for that crap crew he put on that field Sunday. The biggest game in the history of the league and you give us your B Team Mike, don't justify that call, it was brutal. Wayne should have been called for mauling Ellis as he was trying to get to the ball himself.

I tried to watch this earlier and it almost made me physically sick......The worst part is, now all the Colts fans can say, "See even Pereira says it was the right call."

I hate being the guy that "whines" about the officiating (especially since we still got the W), but I have never been so mad even after we won. I definitely did not even enjoy the victory Sunday night because I kept replaying the awful calls in my head.

But enough of that, we won and this is the last time I'm going to complain about the officiating.

What a load of crap. Pereira has NEVER said anything was a bad call. He is a bildo. I have seen this segment several times and he has never said, "the call was wrong". What a turd. I really have no idea how he justifies that call...now that I have seen it again, the call was plain awful.

I was listening to PFW in progress and some listener compared Pereira's comments to listening to "Baghdad Bob" telling the country that everything is fine. The Americans are being repelled, and they have everything undercontrol. All the while bombs are dropping around him, and plumes of smoke can be seen in the background.

Even Rich Eisen had a raised eyebrow while he listened to that explaination.

Of course they ignored the missed calls on Harrison (pulled down) and Moss, the bad spot, and I wonder about the hold on Faulk (among many). I guess he would review that as being "incidental contact".

I mean the Hobbs call was sickening, but when they really screwed the Pats and didn't call Brackett for mauling Kevin Faulk on that 3rd down pass, I was going nuts, I honestly thought that Bill Polian had spoken to each and every one of these officials right before the game, I wouldn't put it past him.

That bogus non-call on Faulk after Brackett literally mauled him cost us an automatic 1st down in Indy territory and definately on our way to 3 or 7 points, instead we had to punt.

I've seen NFL officials call that PI 99% of the time especially when they showed the front camera angle. The whole thing made me sick, we not only had to beat a great Colts team on their home field, we had to beat the corrupted refs. Wow are we powerful.............

When a legitimately bad call is made and your team loses... everyone calls you a whiner who can't take the loss. When a legitimately bad call is made and your team wins... everyone says your a sore winner, and you should get over it.

So if your not aloud to point out legitimately bad calls when your team wins, and you can't point them out when your team loses, how does attention ever get put on legitimate problems in the product?

I think ultimately the "whining" needs to be done when their is a legitimately bad call. In other businesses they call it quality control, and its what keeps a companies reputation from going to crap.

So I think us fans are doing our job. Unfortunately, we seem to be being dismissed by the higher ups, and in the end that will just hurt the product.

Likewise it seems to me that after listening to that crazy spin justifying the call on Hobbs... If I'm the New England Patriots I can't score enough points any game... because I don't know if I'll be given access to a fair game that week or not.

Tony Eason's Patriots... I could see setting the franchise record for penalties, but when its the most discipled Pats team in history that does it... I start becoming convinvinced that something has the odor of fish about it.

Perfect, you are 100% correct with this post. Again, I blame Pereira, he is responsible for the crew assignment, and that horrible crew for this great game is on his shoulders, so ofcourse he's spinning the call his way, otherwise he would incriminate himself on the crap job he did on his crew assignment. Why do they even have this on the NFL network if you know that this clown is just going to spew out unobjective crap - and his manner is so arrogant its just disgusting. What would be the big deal if this loser admits that a ref can make a bad call from time to time. Its like he is scared to be objective on all these examples. Oh I see, well I guess the whole country outside of Indy is a bunch of whiners then, because every person who saw the call outside of the Indy zip code, QUESTIONED THE CALL !!!!!!!!!! So then you agree that there were at least 5 plays that Indy should have been flagged on, including one play where Hayden was holding Moss' right hand down and the Faulk no-call?

Edit to say: Had Indy been on the wrong end of that type of game, it would still be a top story on nearly every sports program, with Polian leading the charge.

And you are looking at it as an unbiased observer. The thing is even if you agree with the call, you cannot dispute the spot of the ball. The supposive foul occured on the Pats 9-10 yard line and the ball was spotted on the six.

Considering the difference in where Pereira says the foul occured and where it was spotted, you gotta admit that the refs may have called this foul for a totally different reason.

WOW ARE YOU KIDDING ME?, Ellis Hobbs received a written apology from the NFL after they literally screwed the Pats ON ANOTHER HORRIBLE PI CALL in the AFCCG, A WRITTEN APOLOGY, IT HANDED THE COLTS 7 BOGUS POINTS. ODDLY ENOUGH WITH THE SAME TWO PARTIES INVOLVED (HOBBS AND WAYNE).
