He was asked questions at his locker

Reporter: Who is the receiver that you think has your prowess for making plays?

TO: Randy. He's great, I mean like me he goes out there and makes plays for his team to win.

Reporter: What about plaxico Burress?

TO: The only reciever at my level is Moss.

I like TO but I don't think he should have said that because plaxico is a good reciever who makes big plays like he and Moss. But it's interesting he gives moss props because the media makes you think they hate each other.

Haven't we learned ?

Why does anyone listen to the mainstream media, honestly, their useless unless it's breaking news. You can't trust they haven't manipulated anything to make it more of a story then it is. We've been seeing it all year !

Personally, I'll read anything, believing it is another story all together

It's funny, even when T.O. compliments others he has to insert his own ego as well. "The only receiver at my level is Moss." Taking nothing away from his talent, he shouldn't feel the need to beat his own chest when complimenting others; just an opinion.

And why does he need to knock Plaxico the week they play a huge game against the Giants? Stupid.

I think a better title for this thread would have been TO gives himself props...as usual.

I have no problems with this statement. He's completely right. They're both head and shoulders above Plaxico, who is a good deep threat but not a HOF player like Moss and TO.

Actually, the reporter didn't post the full answer. Here is the unabridged version:

TO: "The only receiver at my level is Moss...

and Ocho Cinco...
and Fitzgerald and Edwards...
and Wayne and Harrison...
and Houshmandzadeh, Steve Smith, Holt, Burress...
and the little guy in Green Bay, he's pretty good too.

Actually, it's not so much a "level" as it is an "area"...
or a "vacinity"...
maybe a "neighborhood"...
definitely bigger than a cul-de-sac unless it was one big-@$$ cul-de-sac.

Anyway, git ya popcorn ready!"

I think TO is being sincere about his respect for Randy.
In the Dallas game, I think it was the outstanding, almost catch in the endzone Randy attempted, the camera pointed over to TO and he had a look of what can only be described as repressed amazement.

TO isnt a Patiot, he will not say all the right htings...

but i agree with him, plax is good, especially was at beginning of season...but overall TO and MOss are quite a bit better then those two...

and mOss is above TO as well

TO said that because he knows he isn't as good as Moss. His overinflated ego of himself thinks he's better than most. Even his ego isn't big enough to think he's better than Moss.

I took the comment on Plaxico as a little tongue in cheek. Moss on the other hand isn't on your level. You've yet to reach Moss.

There is no "TO level." There's Randy's level, and there is no one who can touch him.

Talent wise, Moss has no peer (pending the outcome of Calvin Johnson's career). But in terms of career accomplishments, Moss and Owens are on the same level but for different reasons. Moss has that freakish height, speed and hands. Owens has the ability to break tackles and make defenders miss him and Steve Smith is probably the only other receiver with that type of ability. Usually the first guy to get to Moss will take him down. That obviously matters little when he's gotten 40 yards or a TD by the time you get to him.

I agree...Plaxico is a good receiver...but he is not a game breaker like Moss or TO...

It's just very funny to me, because I have noticed throughout TO's career ...ever since he left San Francisco..he is obessed with comparing himself with Randy Moss...Moss really never reiterate the comparison...and will always say he does what he does and TO does what TO does when asked about TO...

In my opinion...Moss has more talent than TO...like he is more talented than Rice...but in terms of production (when both have their heads straight)...are on par with each others...

Say what you will but you have to admit that TO is tough as heck to tackle since his upper body is so strong...it's too bad he is bi-polar and therefore such a head case and egotistical...that's why I detest TO...lol

I'll let you keep your screen name, but don't ever think you're me! ;) ;)

TO is ego-maniac. He paints the media a picture that he's a great player, etc... but its all pieces to a big puzzle-picture of himself.

It was rumored that Steven Weinberg's recommendation for hiring Shelly Glashow at Harvard read "The only person in the world who knows more about quantum electrodynamics than Sheldon Glashow is myself."

This kind of attitude isn't confined to sports. :)

TO is an egotistical douchebag, what kind of a thing is that to say? I would never want a TO type of guy on my team thats for sure. There are alot of guys thaat are better than TO including Harrison,Chad J.,Randy.

That was the most amazing catch I have ever seen in my life, even though it was ruled incomplete.

To is completely delusional if he thinks of himself as equal to Moss.

I said this before Moss was a Patriot. Moss can do things that TO will never be able to do.
