16-0 or Another superbowl win.

Superbowl always comes first surely?. People and history will recognise Superbowl titles more than going the regular season undfeated.

Going 16-0 and not winning the Super Bowl sets you up for embarrassment. How would you ever get an ounce of pride from that?

"We went 16-0!"

"Yeah, did they start making regular season championship rings?"

" "

Like everyone else, winning the Super Bowl FAR exceeds anything else for me.

However . . . if I knew we would not win the SB either way, I would still love to go 16-0. I wouldn't be embarassed to be the first team with a 16-0 regular season only to lose in the playoffs.

Stupid question.... the post-season is all that counts. Sure, I want it all... but barring that, the Lombardi trumps it all.

You've got to be kidding me. What an idiotic question. Being 16-0 and losing your first playoff game and missing the super bowl is pointless and worse than going to the super bowl and being the losing teem.
There are only idiotic questions, only idiotic people who cannot accept that their view of the universe is not the only possible one.

Chll out, man. Different people have different wants, likes, desires and tastes.

Anyway, if only one opinion in this world was valid, it would be mine, not yours.

My softball team went undefeated (12-0) during the regular season and then lost 3-2 in the first round of the playoffs against the worst team in the league.

Three years later we won the championship.

I'll leave it to you to figure out which season I remember more fondly. ;)

I would rather have the 16-0, and be witness to a part of history. We won enough superbowls already, but I still want more.

What would you guys really rather have undefeated season or super bowl win?

undfeated season with a super bowl win would be great!

Imagine the DVD sales!!

I want 16-0 plus the superbowl championship.
Remember that the 72 fins went 14-0 and then won the championship to put them at 17-0. Just going 16-0 is not good enough to top them as the best team of all time.

What the hell? What's the point of going 16-0 and not winning the superbowl? I'd rather go 9-7 and just squeak in and then win the superbowl like the Steelers did, than go 16-0 and lose in the playoffs. Which would probably be to the Colts IF we did lose, which would make me want to throw up just like last year.

Superbowl. Obviously, but also consider this:

If we lose a regular season game, we suffer a few weeks of trolling and taunting before we clean up in Arizona and tell the rest of the world Eff You again.

We go 16-0 and then lose in the play-offs we have to put up with that crap forever.

OK, you just contradicted youyrself... you said "undefeated season or super bowl win". Then you say that a "undefeated season with a super bowl win would be great"...

16-0 will be meaningless if you don't win the Super Bowl.

I think you should paraphrase the question to ask whether we risk injuring players in a meaningless game against the Giants for the chance to go 16-0 (with the hope of course that we go on and win it all).

In which case, I say YES, and unlike what a lot of folks here think, I think BB would also. BB has a strong sense of football history, and I think the next step after winning 3 titles in 4 years would pro football immortality.

It's times like this I wish the bandwagon would hit a pothole and dislodge some of the frontrunners.

If you go 16-0 and don't win the Super Bowl that doesn't put you in the same class as the '72 Dolphins, I hope you understand that.
BRILLIANT!!!

Get this man some Spam! Make sure it contains dolphin meat.

I'd be happy with 9-7 and a SB win.

 are you serious? Go ahead and be 16-0 and you will always be remembered as the team that "could have been great". I have to question your priorities.

You must love this 16-0 talk Aqua, otherwise, how else would your team be spoken of anywhere.

And they could lose 3 more games for all I care as long as they win #4. I want 19-0 but that's gravy like Brady and Moss breaking the TD records.

Actually, the REAL question is if in the last game, the Dolphins go in at 0-15. Does Cameron Cameron rest his "regulars" or does he try to avoid injury for next season?

It's not undefeated unless there's a also a Super Bowl win.

Of course, that's probably been said 20 times before in this thread already ...

9-7? the Steelers were 11-5 that year, and barely squeezed in. Though, 9-7 and winning the superbowl would be pretty impressive.

On January 5, 2008, every NFL team is 0-0.

How is this even a question????
