Why not? A great way to remember where we came from, and how there was a time when we once weren't great. It's a good way to appreciate what we have now. I guess you would have to be a fan from then to appreciate what we have today.

I've been a Boston sports fan for as long as I can remember (born in the 60's). I believe in curses, so NO, I DON'T EVER WANT TO SEE those uniforms again on the playing field.

I know where they came from and I don't need a reminder. Aside from a couple of good years and a few great moments, I prefer to pretend those years don't exist.

I hope not, I love the silver jerseys. I have an authentic one myself, I think it should be our away jersey.

In the NFL this year there has been a number of teams that went back in time, and have worn their throwback jerseys. I think it's kind of cool to see the old uniforms that teams worn( besides those ugly Eagles uniforms, LOL) I would like to see the Pats wear their old uniforms for a game, and wonder if you guys would like to see it also. I don't know how the NFL chooses teams. Is there a certain period of time that has to pass? Or is to celebrate a certain period of time in the teams history? I'm not sure how it works and if anyone knows I would appreciate the feedback.

I HATE the Flying Elvis... I always have. I wish they would go back to using Pat the patriot on the Helmets.

I'm pretty sure they are allowed to wear alternates of their choice once a year. I never really understood the silver alts, they don't look that much different than the white aways anyway. ImO It's always cool to see those old uniforms but it doesnt really make ad difference to me.

You won't see the Pat the Patriot unis in the the BB era unless the League forces them too. (We already did a few years back on Turkey Day against the Lions).

Matter of fact the Pats already used they're silver alt jerseys early this year so they won't have to worry about that crap during the year.

I just wish the Pats alt jersey looked like it does now but only red instead of blue to honor the old franchise.

You are correct, the Pats will shelve the silver jersey's this yr. Starting next yr with patriot place and the 50th aniversery the yr after that, the throwbacks will back..

I'm very fond of the old uni's, the old Pat is my favorite helmet ever but too much success with the new ones and karma to change even for one game(remember that Turkey day game was the game Bruschi went down for the season and the team never recovered). They are great also, much better then the late 90's eye sore.

Back when the Flying Elvis first saw use I think everyone was ready for a change. The Flying Elvis symbolized a new era with the Pats, and after suffering through the late 80s/early 90s we were all more than ready. Having said that, though, I'd love to see the old Pat Patriot unis worn once a year as a throwback.

as far as i know Pat Patriot and the old red throwbacks will return starting next year as third uniform (the silver ones should disappear)

i'm looking forward to it as you know...
