I was just watching the NFL Network (HD) and saw the "this is football" ad where at the end of the ad BB normally says "this is football" as he walks across the field. To me it looked like the exact same ad, and then the very last scene, where BB is supposed to be, instead had Ray Lewis saying "this is football."

Am I mistaken and they've always had two versions, or did they really, just recently, remove *only* BB's spot from the ad? As I mentioned, the rest of the ad seemed identical to what I recall.

yeah his image was also removed from the "thank you for watching this presentation the nfl on cbs" thing and replaced by dungy (the part that used to show Belichick Lombardi and Walsch now has Dungy instead of Belichick)

Until proven otherwise these commercials have a bunch of interchangable parts.. maybe it has to do with Baltimore being on TV last night and feeding the fires of last sunday's games..

I've never seen a version of that ad w/out BB. Could it be a regional thing? Different ads for different markets?
If it's not, and it's an editorial comment by the commish.....

No, I live in Maryland, and I have seen the BB ad, haven't seen the Ray Ray ad.....

I live in Pittsburgh and have seen both versions of the add, sometimes within a few minutes of each other.

This occurred pre-spygate and post-Colts Superbowl win.

But it still pisses me off.

I'd like to see if they restore BB if we win the next Superbowl.

Ofcourse he was, and of course this league couldn't wait to get Dungy's cute little face somewhere. It's gonna be beautiful when old times are truly back and they just spend all off season saying what if.

I'm living now in CA and noticed he was missing. His was the best part.

I'm in Boston -- if there's anywhere BB'd be in the ad, it'd be here.

I just saw the BB ad last week; I loved the fact that he's not even looking straight at the camera when he says it. :)

On a related note, watching MNF last night, that hideous Manning commercial (aren't they all) came on. Typically, I can't find the remote fast enough to switch to anything else, but last night I just watched and laughed. 9-0 goes a long way.

The Sony ad, where Paymetons comes into the house TV room and has to duck under the doorway. Is he that tall? or was the set made to make him look bigger than life? Or was he standing on his high horse?

Heh.

In my own personal version of the Manning's Mind commercial, when he turns and looks back, that creepy little kid isn't standing back there; instead, it's Mike Vrabel coming in to make the sack. :D

[Yeah, I know he's playing the Dolphins. But in a dream that terrifyingly surreal, why not? :) ]

Please............

find me the link for that commercial.

It rocks, my favorite.

fwiw i saw both versions, the lewis and BB version...

link?????

gracias...
