The production of Randy Moss this season, and where it stands when compared to other recent Patriots WR's?

Through 9 games Randy Moss has 924 receiving yards. That's right, that was 9 games and 924 receiving yards. Do you realize Deion Branch in his best season with NE had 998 yards for the ENTIRE season?

Moss also has 12 TD's, which has tied a Patriots franchise record and is by far the most TD's a WR has ever had under Brady.

Also, WES WELKER has 7 TD's, and 61 receptions (on pace for 1,157 yards, 12 TD's, and 108 recepts).

Again, this is only through the first 9 games folks.....pretty crazy stuff, and it's almost hard to fully grasp.

I can grasp it
and I'm fine with it lol

Welker and Moss are top 5 in receptions.
Stallworth has killer production for a #3.

I'm only a little surprised with how many receptions Welker is getting, and I'm somewhat surprised with his yardage totals, but his 7 TD's have cought me completely by surprise. I thought he'd be better in NE with Brady throwing to him, but he only had 1 TD in his career before coming here. Now Welker has 7 through his first nine in NE? It's madness!

With the weapons the Pats have in the red zone, someone's going to be free every time. With teams falling over themselves to make sure that Moss, Watson... won't include Vrabel since I don't think he's in any of the same packages as Welker...etc, I see it as teams picking their poison with Welker, and he's consistently making them pay.

Welker will burn you time and again, but it's still better than letting Moss or Watson or K. Brady or Vrabel or Faulk or Maroney or Brady (running) do it instead

Is it really? Either way, the Patriots win! :D

People thought for the longest times that Rice's great '89(I think) season would never be rivaled. Guess what, its happening this season and its happening in NE.

moss has had 2 touch down thrown called back due to non sense offensive PI calls.

The huge bomb from brady to moss when he did the toe drag that was a big gain also.

He would have broke the 1000 yard mark already.

Technically speaking, it may not be this year. Rice got his TDs in 13 games (strike shortened). So Unless Moss breaks his record in 13 games (which looks unlikely at this pace), I don't think you can necessarily say it beats Rice's season

He also had another one taken away Sunday when Hayden pinned his arm down in the EZ and they didn't call it. They should start a new category of "number of times interfered with in the EZ". He'd be the all time leader in that.
